The Uvwie council Boss, Hon. Stella Dabunor represented by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon.Chief Napoleon Iffie and the Secretary of the council, Hon Barr. Agbaja Peter led a team of other Top Officials of the Council to inspect the Effurun market.
In the course of inspection, the council team met with the leadership of the market union and the E’gwe ya’ hre’ ru’ uvwie , The council chairman who was represented by the Vice chairman Hon. Chief Napoleon Iffie, admonished both groups to work in line with the State Governor’s SMART and PROSPERITY agenda in other to make Uvwie great again.
It was indeed a thing of joy today for the traders in the market who came out in their large numbers to thank the Uvwie Council for finally coming to their rescue, and for promising to start the renovating and restructuring of the market to the betterment of both the traders and customers.
The team frowned seriously at the indiscriminate dump of refuse at the end of the market by the Effurun river, modalities were made instantly for the cleaning of the Effurun market
.
The team also inspected the market abattoir to ascertain the level of neatness in the abattoir, they commended those in charge for maintaining a neat environment because better health is wealth.
At the end the E’gwe’ ya’reh’ ru uvwie and the market union thanked the team for coming to the rescue of the traders in the market and promised to work inline with the State Governor’s SMART and PROSPERITY agenda.
