Chief Executive of E&A Limited and APC chieftain, Chief Ayiri Emami has dismissed speculations that former Chairman, Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Henry Menaboware Baro was removed due to his suspected sympathy for the APC explaining that Baro’s dethronement was due to his strong personality
Chief Emami who spoke today at the NUJ Warri correspondent Chapel bi-monthly programme “searchlight” said Baro was known to be a highly principled man. “They want somebody they can manipulate and they felt Baro do fit into their game plan.”
He said before he moved to the APC he discussed the issue extensively with Baro but the former Uvwie LGA Chairman said he was not prepared to leave the PDP then., “but today with the current development, I do not know what is in his mine
“Baro is a very close friend. We were in the same party. He is an adult. He will decide for himself. I do not want to believe that it was because of me that he was removed. I have a lot of friends in PDP, in every position. From members of the House of Assembly to commissioners.
Similarly, Chief Emami, who is also the Ajuwaoyiboyami of Warri Kingdom said he could not categorically speculate on what Chief James Ibori would do when he returns to the country in a few weeks time but added however that, before the 2015 presidential election, Chief Ibori had predicted correctly that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated, but due to the fear of the unknown, a lot of his friends remained in the PDP so that they would not accused of betraying a Niger Deltan
Responding to another question, Chief Emami said he had no problem with Tompolo, but that the disagreement with him was based on principle. “As an Itsekiri person I hate oppression. He explained that the Export Processing Zone(EPZ) land belongs to the Itsekiris, but some persons 
were creating the impression that since they had somebody in government, they can do anything they like and get away with it.
On the insinuation that the Buhari administration was slow, Chief Emami said President Mohammadu Buhari was not slow because the country was vandalized by past administration and currently there was no money due to the fall in crude oil prices.
“Past administrations did a lot of things that has to be corrected. Even without economic team you cannot plan without money. Money for insurgency was stolen. President inherited a lot of problems, so he had to take time to solve them”
On pipeline vandalism, Chief Emami said he was planning various sensitization programme to enlighten the people of the Niger Delta region on the consequences just as he was also urging government to map out programme to provide infrastructure as well as engage youths to get them away from criminal acts, because “an idle hand is the devil’s workshop”. He however, lamented that everything had now been politicized and that there were some elements in the state administration who have case to answer in respite of recent pipeline vandalism
