Deltans must not allow Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa to go ahead with his so-called proposed Asaba monorail project. It is another project through which Deltans money will be siphoned away into private pockets.
There is the airport which has gulped more than N50 billion but yet uncompleted; the Asaba-Ughelli dualization is still there haphazardly abandoned; the Effurun-Eku dualization has been abandoned.
What is monorail in Asaba when he has commenced the dualization of Nnebbisi road? He should complete these projects first before embarking on a monorail. Rivers State started the monorail, up till now no result. It is the same story with Lagos. Okowa must not use his proposed monorail to deflate the dwindling revenue of the state.
