*OGBORU ON A MISSION TO FAIL AGAIN.*

Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, the man nicknamed “The People’s General” by his supporters is known for his desperation to be the Governor of Delta State. Ogboru who has never held any political position, be it appointed or elected, prides himself as the only figure that can remove PDP from the Delta State Government House, come 2019. He has also claimed to be the only one that can turn the State around for good.
This assertion has always angered other well meaning and experienced Deltans who consider Ogboru’s vaulting political ambition as an insult to dedicated party service and commitment.
*Chief Ogboru in APC*
History has it that Chief Ogboru, Hon. Victor Ochei and others were led into the All Progressives Congress, APC by the Leader of the Party in Delta State, Olorogun Otega Emerhor OON., who is believed to have financed and led the party to what it is today.
It would also be recalled that prior to the 2015 General Elections, Olorogun Otega invited Ogboru to join the APC and tried persuading him to run as the Governorship Candidate of the Party, but Ogboru refused simply because:
1. He was receiving contracts from the former President Goodluck Jonathan.
2. He claimed that he could not abandon a South Southerner.
3. He was not ready to support a Boko Haram sponsor in the person of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
Be that as it were, The very magnanimous Olorogun Otega who didn’t consider Ogboru’s stance before the 2015 General Elections, still went ahead to invite him to join the APC even after President Muhammadu Buhari clenched victory.
This time, Chief Ogboru accepted the invitation to join the now victorious APC fold.
*Cheif Ogboru Turns Against Olorogun Otega.*
Since Olorogun Otega invited Chief Ogboru to join the APC, the man has known no peace from Ogboru and his supporters.
Ogboru who is afraid that Otega will not support his 2019 gubernatorial ambition has resorted to pulling Otega down through several despicable ways.
His first move was to run to the formal Secretary General of the Federation (SGF), who removed Otega from the leadership of the Delta State APC and replaced him with the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu.
Ogboru also made frantic efforts to make sure that the State Executives of the Party who were loyal to Otega were sacked. Since this didn’t work, he has resorted to other clandestine methods in bring Otega down.
Such moves include using his Principal Secretary, one Mr Agaga Christopher to write and publish propaganda against Otega.
Agaga whose job description includes throwing insults and tantrums at the Delta APC Leader, Olorogun Otega, has never for once, be cautioned by Chief Ogboru. This and other acts have led to the belief that Ogboru joins whoever is ready to fight Otega to bring him down.
*Senator Omo-Agege to Use and Dump Chief Ogboru.*
No doubt, Chief Great Ogboru deeply relies on ‘the Senator Omo-Agege factor’ in his 2019 governorship ambition, believing that since the Senator rode on his back to victory during the 2015 Election, He would reciprocate the gesture come 2019.
What Chief Ogboru does not know is that, Senator Omo-Agege is planning to use his (Ogboru’s) popularity in some parts of Delta Central to ride back to the Senate in preparation for his 2023 governorship ambition.
It is widely rumoured that Senator Omo-Agege strongly believes that Ogboru cannot govern the State and that Delta North should be allowed to do their second term by producing the next Governor. In view of these reasons, Senator Omo-Agege believes that should Urhobo loose out in 2019, age and other circumstances would not allow both Ogboru and Otega to run in 2023, hence he is well placed and suited to run by that year.
The quicker Chief Ogboru realizes this plot by Senator Omo-Agege, the best for him.
*Conclusion.*
If Chief Ogboru is not on a mission to fail, he would have joined hands with Olorogun Otega who invited him into the APC in the first place, and who have also sponsored him with hundreds of millions in previous elections.
If Ogboru is not a mission to fail, he will study and tame Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s 2023 governorship which is detrimental to Ogboru’s 2019 ambition.
If Ogboru is not on a mission to fail, he would desist from joining forces with enemies of Olorogun Otega to fight him.
If Ogboru is not on a mission to fail, he will avail himself for party meetings and make substantial support for the unity of the party.
If Ogboru is not on a mission to fail, he will put on hold his desperate ambition and concentrate on building the party.
If Ogboru is not on a mission to fail, he will call his supporters to order and stop them from further breeding confusion and disharmony within the party.
But in a response, the Ogboru/Omo-Agege media team said, “For a while now, our people have witnessed with great displeasure continuous unprovoked smear campaigns on the persons of Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru and Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege initially by individuals too weak and cowardly to affix their names to such articles. Written with the sole intent to spite the duo of Ogboru and Omo-Agege for operating like political Siamese twins, these publications have been coming under fictitious identities also known as “Avatars” on social media. But lately, caution seem to have been thrown to the wind as these mischievous folks who no longer see the need to maintain such cowardly posture have seemingly dared to expose themselves giving some insight as to where these once totally faceless attacks truly originate from. But we dare say that even the ‘authors’ we now see are still not the real ones. The real authors are too cowardly to come out. But at least we now know the source.
Our initial stance on this public show of shame was simply to ignore these senseless campaigns. But it has become necessary to respond because falsehood when told repeatedly has the potential of being mistaken for truth. Besides, these attacks are becoming one too many to ignore altogether.
ON AGAGA CHRISTOPHER
First, let it be known that it smacks of stupidity and foolishness to serially hold Chief Ogboru responsible for the actions or inactions of Mr Christopher Agaga. Chief Ogboru has stated emphatically and repeatedly through his recognized media channels that the said Agaga is not his employee neither is he his spokesperson. Therefore, it is irresponsible for people like Godspower Ogoru and his ilks who are very close to Olorogun Otega Emerhor to dare to insult the Senator and Chief Ogboru as a result of Agaga’s personal media activities. This shows they don’t know how to face simple challenges. What would it cost them to respond directly to whatever Agaga says?
ON THE EDP OF NDDC
Also, contrary to the mischievous claim by the impish Ogoru, Distinguished Senator Omo-Agege and Chief Ogboru are men of impeccable character who would never stoop so low to antagonize the current Executive Director of Projects, NDDC, Engr. Samuel Adjogbe. Not with the positive role they played to see that the EDP’s Appointment was a success. Anyone may deny the truth but the truth will always stand. It is imperative to note on Ogoru’s stupid allegations that neither the Senator nor Chief Ogboru or their representatives was present at the meeting held at Chief Hyacinth Enuha’s house on the allegation that the EDP and some persons hijacked NDDC contracts for themselves as they were not invited in the first place. So it makes no sense for anyone to throw tantrums at the duo in reference to the said meeting. And they didn’t ask anyone to represent them. Those who attended went on their own accord. If anyone has issues with that meeting that person ought to relate with the adults who were there not those who weren’t there. But Ogoru is too unwise to know this too.
While we have showed an uncommon restraint in this seemingly unending internal party dance of shame, it is pertinent to state that no one is a custodian of political sliming. No one has the monopoly of abuse. It is against this backdrop that one must call on those parading themselves as Olorogun Otega Emerhor’s online media aides to borrow some tact, maturity and wisdom to behave well or put so much at risk in a media war they cannot win. Rascals like Ogoru seem to derive pleasure from mischief that can harm their masters. We will no longer tolerate any form of insult on the person of the Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege or Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru again. Any insult will be met with a strong media resistance henceforth. If peace is mistaken for weakness then you must prepare for what you’re bargaining for.
We respect Olorogun Otega Emerhor and expect him to caution idiots like Ogoru never ever to cross the red line of daring to insult credible leaders. Needless to say that there is more than enough strength to fast-track a political implosion since that seems to be the message passed with the inciting and senseless public display of political foolishness by Ogoru and those writing for him.
Chief Ogboru and Distinguished Senator Omo-Agege remain unwavering and unassailable partners in progress for the collective good of Delta State at large. It is therefore petty for anyone to insinuate an imaginary planned “Use and Dump” strategy by the senator when this perfect union is already bearing good fruits evident in the effective and quality representation of the Urhobo People at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly – a type of representation that the APC can boast about anytime, any day going into the election in 2019.
Conclusively, one must advise the leaders of the APC to focus more on uniting the party for a greater purpose of winning elections rather than wasting valuable time engaging in needless battles of relevance and supremacy. Chief Ogboru and Senator Omo-Agege have no time for petty politics.
