earing will begin on Thursday in a suit against Ibis Hotels, Ikeja instituted by Committee for Defence of Human Rights(CDHR) on behalf of Corio Enterprises over debt of about N381,940.00 for goods supplied to the company.
Corio Enterprises and several companies have approached the human rights body to assist them in recovering debts owed them by Ibis Hotels, Ikeja
Corio Enterprises in their claim said it honoured its obligation and supplied goods at several period in 2015 worth N381,940.00 to Ibis Hotels but the defendant refused and failed to pay sum for goods delivered to the which the defendant acknowledged were supplied.
“The claimant avers that taxes were paid in to the appropriate Revenue Authorities and such payments acknowledged by the revenue collecting authorities. The Claimant pleads the receipts of payments and shall rely on this receipts at the trail of this suit
The suit is demanding an order compelling the defendant to pay the claimant the sum of N381,940.00 being the debt owed by the defendant to the claimant.
The suit said the claimant on request by the defendant through purchase orders supplied goods to the defendant which the defendant acknowledged supply to the said goods through corresponding invoices to the goods supplied
