The Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1 has advice youths to concentrate on their studies as this can make then achieve everything in life rather that engaging in social vices that may truncate their progress in life
The Uvwie Monarch who spoke during the installation of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa’s aide on community development, Chief Peters Iffie as the Unuevworo of Ekpan at the weekend in Effurun, Delta State, said he would continue to pray for those leaders and youths who provide the enabling environment for peace in the community
He said with sustain peace in the community, more companies would be located in Uvwie thereby creating more employment opportunities for the youths.
HRM Sideso recalled the ugly incident which led to the removal of the former Unuevworo, Newton Agbofodoh and advice Chief Iffie to always adhere to the code of conduct guarding Chiefs holding high positions in the community
Speaking during a reception held in his honour, the new Unuevworo of Ekpan, Chief Peters Iffie noted that Ekpan Community have had its fair share of challenges and protracted communal conflicts just like some other Niger Delta communities but he was determined to turn these challenges into opportunities for all, particularly the youths of the community.
He thanked some individuals who collaborated with the State Government and the Uvwie Monarch to fashion out a sustainable peace model “which brought us to where we are today”, particularly the role played by Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowas who he said was very instrumental to the success story
The occasion was witness by important dignitaries across the state including security chiefs
