The Unuevworo of Ohorhe, Chief(Dr.) Jimoh Eshenake has assured the Ohorhe 1 community of a new era of transparent leadership saying he will not be a party to selling of job slots.
Chief Eshenake who spoke during a welcome party organised for him when he visited the community commended the youths for their peaceful disposition saying they are now providing a conducive atmosphere to attract investment.
Responding to some of the demands by the community, Chief Eshenake told them that the Ohorhe land issue was being addressed as the Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1 was pursing the issue both politically and through the judiciary.
He also promised to look into other issues raised by the community, such as the tying of the main access road to the community, the collapse school fence, employment for youths, health centre and transformer for the community.
Earlier, the community Chairman, Mr. Sunday Oboh commended the Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1 for giving autonomy to Ohorhe community as well as all those who contributed in one way or the other to achieve this.
Present on the occasion were, the grand patron of Ohorhe 1, Chief(Dr.) George Amurun, who is also the Esirierha of Alegbor, Usiavwe R’Ohorhe, Chief Herbert Majemite, the Esirierha R’Ohorhe, Chief Julius Oghojamuni. Others were Chiefs Omafume Amurun, Awinoje Meeting Jacob, Edeki Sunday among others
