2019: IS GOV. OKOWA ON HIS WAY OUT ? TWO VIEWS

State News

RE: 2019, WE ‘VE ISSUED QUIT NOTICE TO OKOWA, PDP – EMERHOR.

…A HUGE JOKE BY A POLITICAL COMEDIAN AND MID-TEMPLE MEDIA POLITICIAN.

By Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe (EACGOVDELTA).

Vanguard Newspaper at page 33 of Wedneaday July 26 edition featured a tiny headline captioned “2019: We ve Issued quite notice to Okowa, PDP,” credited to the deputy state leader and 2015 gubernatorial candidate of Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun Otega Emerhor.

Of a truth, Emerhor is a fine gentleman, easy-going but very crafty in character and disposition. He is a versed insurance expert and financial guru but not a professional politician, not a grassroots politician, not a proactive political leader and not capable of helping APC politically to achieve any meaningful election results in Delta State.

Its on record that Emerhor lost his unit, his ward and LGA to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and to Gov Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa in 2015 and still had the bold face to drag Okowa and PDP to the election tribunal and up to the Supreme Court.

He lost through the ranks of the judicial process and on February 2, 2016, the Supreme Court scolded Emerhor and instructed him to go master grassroots politics. The Supreme Court ruling ought to cure the gross inefficiency of Emerhor’s political leadership but alas he failed to acquire necessary skills to face future elections

Emerhor issued quit notice to PDP and Okowa in 2015 but he failed election in his unit, front of his Evwreni mansion in Ughelli North LGA. He could not produce a councillor, talkless of Council Chairman.

The quit notice he issued on behalf of himself and the now moribund APC in 2015 was defective because he and his party lacked locus standi. This position was affirmed in the Supreme Court judgment meaning; a tenant cannot issue quit notice to his legal and lawful landlord. That judgment still subsist till May 29, 2019.

It follows that the quite notice referred to by Olorogun Emerhor, the deputy leader of Delta APC (Dr Kachikwu Ibe Emmanuel, Petroleum Minister is the Delta APC leader), can best be described as a political comedy from a learner in partisan politics and political elections engineering.

It is a huge joke coming from a boardroom expert without an idea of how Delta politics operates. He is a mere media politician without an atom of knowledge on how elections are crafted, how grassroots mobilization is perfected and with no understanding of how elections are genuinely won.

I suspect that Acting President Yemi Osibanjo will soon reshuffle his cabinet and Emerhor is working ahead to attract the attention of the presidency with his quit notice to PDP and Okowa. Something must be cooking somewhere for Emerhor to serve the comic quit notice. President Buhari, Osibanjo please shine your eyes. Emerhor is faking you and your party again!

As for Okpanam Road, it is receiving priority attention of the state government. The erosion problems was inherited by Okowa administration. No blame games; proper and durable drainage systems have been worked out and massive construction shall commence after the rains.

In one single day, Gov Okowa commissioned 15 roads within Asaba, making a total of 51 roads commissioned within two years of the Okowa administration. There are 38 roads still under dualization, construction or rehabilitation across the three Senatorial Districts in Delta State.

Emerhor should tell Nigerians of any APC governor that commissioned 15 roads in a single day in their state capital with 38 ongoing roads construction projects within two years in office.

Let me remind Emerhor and Delta APC that the Delta State Capital Development Authority will soon swing into action. It is saddled with the responsibility of turning Asaba into a world class capital city. Keep your fingers crossed and trust the SMART GOVERNOR of Delta State, His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa (the TALK NA DO Governor).

Emerhor quit notice to PDP and Okowa is a mere political comedy. Laugh it off and go about your normal day to day legitimate activities.

Emerhor and APC DELTA shall again file post election petition in 2019, to ascertain who is the lawful landlord in Delta State from 2019 to May 29, 2023. Glory to God in advance

Re: EMERHOR’S QUIT NOTICE TO OKOWA AND LATIMORE’S UNINFORMED RESPONSE;

By Aghogho Abraham Orotomah

Our attention has been drawn to an article that is circulating online, as written by Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, who announces himself as Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Sen. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. The article is purportedly in response to a statement published in the Vanguard Newspaper of 26th July 2017 in respect of the timely and standing QUIT NOTICE issued to the failed, corrupt, non performing, civil servants owing and heavily indebted Okowa PDP government from the governance of Delta State effective 2019 and credited to Olorogun Otega Emerhor OON who is the long-standing pillar, upholder and a revered leader of APC Delta State.

Interestingly but expectedly, the response dodged the main issue of corrupt, wicked, mean, non performing and failed governance and instead side stepped to divert the discuss to who in Delta State elections have more capability and crookedness in rigging elections thereby undermining the voting preferences of Deltans. In truth, no one is in contest for elections rigging awards with the PDP either nationally or in Delta State. For the past 17 years or more, the PDP has maintained their stranglehold on Delta State through their prowess in elections rigging by deploying violence, voting materials snatching and resort to results writing. No one can contest their dishonor in this shameful endeavour! But for the records, let it be known that despite their rigging prowess, Olorogun Emerhor has always at least defended his turf. Olorogun Emerhor has never and can never loss his unit or his Evwreni ward. Barrister Latimore is hereby challenged to publish the certified INEC results to prove the contrary.

Now, to the main issue that Latimore conningly avoided to address. We make no apologies when we insist on the fact that Delta State has been run aground by successive Pdp administrations that have been in charge and ran the state since 1999. Sadly, Delta State is full of cerebral, innovative, highly creative and hardworking people who have been stripped bare of their dignity and their resources by PDP. Olorogun O’tega Emerhor was therefore right on the mark when he said Deltans are tired of PDP and that the infrastructure in Asaba was not worth our capital city, and therefore he was serving PDP quit notice. Who will not be tired of a government that has squandered over N300 billion per annum for over 17 years ( over N5.1 trillion) without any visible development or infrastructure to point to on ground? Or is at the same time owing over N600 billion to contractors and banks. Or is also oweing civil servants several months of salaries. Or which has left its State populace impoverished and destituted! The people of Delta State own the State and are the landlords of Okowa and the PDP failed government. They are tired of self contrived misery and poverty and seek good governance to improved their lots! They no longer find excuses like; its rainy season that is why Okpanam road is bad or the whole of Asaba, Warri and most of cities are flooded or patience, the law to develop the state capital was just passed or other deceiving excuses acceptable! Olorogun Emerhor was therefore, spot on when he spoke on behalf of the APC that now represent the aspirations of the people of Delta State.

Unfortunately, Barrister Latimore, though a lawyer, was unable to grasp the fact that a quit notice is for a future event. He could also not even understand that it was a sense of duty to fatherland, seeing the absurd level of mismanagement that had occurred in Delta State, that drew Emerhor a boardroom, banking and insurance guru into politics in the first place.

The greater irony of this, however, is that not too long ago, Barrister Latimore was on the same page with Deltans and Olorogun Emerhor that the failed and non performing Okowa PDP government must go in 2019. Same page until the same ravaging poverty in the state became too unbearable for him and he Latimore compromised and accepted an appointment from the devil himself! Fortunately, the majority of Deltans are not ready to compromise their stance like Barrister Latimore, they would rather drive the devil out than dine with it!

And what more, Barrister Latimore seems not to be aware of the signs of the time, that elections rigging will not keep Okowa and PDP in power in 2019. A new sheriff is in town. The votes if Deltans will count in 2019. Latimore, Okowa and PDP should know that Emerhor’s quit notice to Okowa stands and nothing will stop Deltans through APC from driving them out. Okowa’s time in Government House is up. He will surely be retired out of Osadebe House by APC come 2019.
