The Niger Delta Avengers attack yet another oil facilities in Bayelsa State. This time, it is the Nigerian Agip oil Company(NAOC)
pipelines.
The rampaging group reportedly blasted Nembe 1, 2, 3 and Teredaba brass trunk line and further vowing to bring oil production output to zero.
The Avengers has through their spokesperson Mudoch Agbinibo claimed responsibility for the attacks and vowed to cripple oil production across the volatile Niger Delta.
“At about the (hour) of 3am to 5am the Niger Delta Avengers blowup Nembe 1, 2, 3 and Tebedaba brass trunk-line in Bayelsa/River States”, it claimed in the statements title “NDA Hit Again”.
“We still using this medium to warn the general public of impostors Facebook accounts. Niger Delta Avenger is not in Social network anymore”, it added.
The incident was confirmed by the commandant of NSCDC, Bayelsa state chapter, Desmond Agu. According to him, ‘report from the swamp area indicate that last night, a gang of heavily armed youths with two double 200hp speedboats used explosives to blast three different point of men Tebidaba-Brass NAOC pipelines.
He also claimed men of the NSCDC on surveillance, exchanged gun fire with the militant but no casualty was recorded.
