The Niger Delta Avengers said in a statement by Brig. Gen Mukoch Agbinibo that, it was watching with keen interest the “unwholesome activities of the political thugs and agents of APC to undermine the Niger Delta struggle in the likes of Mr. Ayiri and gangs”.
“Few days ago, he and his group was parading, regrouping, rebranding and re-arming defunct Ex-MEND and settled Militants leaders discussing pipelines, oil and gas facilities contract in Edo State Government house. Today he and his co-travelers are in Delta state Government house, the Itsekiri Militants leader with community leaders and unfortunately branding them as representatives of Niger Delta Avengers for self-gain and political survivals.
“We condemn its entirety the continuous linking of the Niger Delta Avengers to any meeting in Delta State Government in Asaba with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources. We have never missed words in telling the whole listening world that the Niger Delta Avengers will not be part any dialogue deal that will not bring about “ the peace of our time; but we want a peace with honour” as such we could not be a party to any meeting with the likes of Ayiri Emami and his co- travelers that that are ready to kill and trade for the interest of pipeline, oil and gas facilities contract from the Government to bloat their pockets and urge fantasies .
Meanwhile, the Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, has lauded Ibe Kachukwu,state minister of petroleum for his timely visit to the take off site of Nigeria Maritime University, Kurutie community, Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Area, Delta State.
The group in a statement by its National Chairman, Mr.Austine Ozobo, tongue-lashed Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transport for misinforming the public and President Buhari over level of works and suitability of Gbaramatu kingdom for such school, saying that Amaechi is a Judah in Niger Delta region and should be ignored.
Austin Ozobo argued that Gbaramatu kingdom is safe and suitable for siting the marine university, and that sentiments has visual impaired Amaechi and his likes from seeing the beauty and the suitability of the current environment where the Marine university is sited.
He urged the general public and president Muhammadu Buhari to disregard wrong impressions created by Rotimi Amaechi about suitability and safety of Gbaramatu kingdom and his mischievous and malicious public ultrances which is has caused the region boiling in the recent time.
He said it was wrong for Rotimi Amaechi to have castigate and made sagacious statements that the environment is not conducive to site Marinetime university when same place is very safe for oil workers and oil exploitation.
“W expected him to also say that Gbaramatu Kingdom is not suitable for oil exploration and oil workers, and that so long the area is suitable for oil exploration and exploitation it is very much suitable and safe for students.
Ozobo advised Ibe Kachukwu and president Muhammed Buhari to ensure immediate kickoff of academic session in the university to calm every furry nerves.
