Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru today(5/5/2016) visited the Senator Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege for the first time in the Senate. Chief Ogboru was accompanied by Sir Richard Odibo and Mrs Harriet Ajomokwu and Ms Miranda Mosheshe.
According to Barr. Lucky Ajokperiniovo, Senator Omo-Agege’s Legislative Assistant, it has always been Chief Ogboru’s view that the Senator Omo-Agege requires time to settle down. To him, “Our Obaisi, my dear brother and our most distinguished Senator doesn’t need distractions. We trust his ambitious plans and roadmap to serve our people. We have complete confidence in him. He needs our best cooperation. We are very proud of him. He has a good heart. He is a very wise leader. He cares for our people and that is most important for me. Everyone who has a good heart is very satisfied with our Senator. Obaisi is a great guy. We need him to concentrate on his bold leadership vision and mission in the Senate. Our prayer is for God to protect, guide and help him.”
Meanwhile, Senator Omo-Agege submitted a petition requesting the Senate to reinstate Mr. Leo Esenwa whose employment was unlawfully terminated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Esenwa, who has a clean record of service, was disengaged from the NNPC in questionable circumstances. Senator Omo-Agege believes it is a serious case that requires the intervention of the Senate. The matter has been referred to the ethics and privileges committee of the senate for investigation.
