Let me just point out how pipelines run through Niger Delta villages. In Sapele, at Ugberikoko we sit on it to gist. Gas is pumped to the power station there which gives you electricity. Shell (or the new buyers) flares gas at ground level in same Ugberikoko.
I do not know who is advising Buhari, but Nigeria does not have the soldiers to man these pipelines. You can employ every Fulani man into the army but they cannot man the pipelines. It is why the intelligent university educated UMYA and GEJ introduced community policing or pipeline security.
Again I wish to remind that often times many people join militancy out of an innocent brother sister mother etc killed or molested by soldiers or simply out of annoyance for oppression. When planes fly out to kill Niger Deltans while Boko Hram bombs, that qualifies as oppression. Plus, Calabar and Alwa Ibom and the environs have been very quiet. If it is oil theft, I do not think that is a matter for air force planes which bombs the people and not the vessels.
Sleeping communities have been attacked by Buhari with planes bought with money from their lands.
Again, now we know why the southern Christian Veepee was locked out of security meeting and why a strategist like Tinubu is being sidelined so the Northern agenda can fully unfold.
I again tell show Buhari these pipelines and ask him how much damage a grenade can do to it 30 seconds and what happens to power etc by damage of one grenade on a pipeline like this.
Buhari should allow mathematicians calculate how much this peace cost and how much a war with Niger Delta and an angry populace will cost in matter of money, lives, economy, etc etc.
