Following a petition by Ugbomro Community Development Committee to the chairman, Uvwie LGC, illegal occupants of uncompleted buildings have been directed to move out immediately
In the petition, copies of which were sent to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr. Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso Abe I, JP, OON, and other Stakeholders, the Ugbomro community said: “we want to bring to your attention of looming security breaches being observed in our community. We have observed that all the Uncompleted building in Ugbomro community are being occupied illegally by some Fulanis and Hausa migrant.
“We decided to bring this to your notice as their actions and inaction amounts to security threats. The influx is becoming alarming in our community in recent time.”
The petition was signed by Hon. Ese Winfrey, President General, Ugbomro community and three others.
The palace security committee, led by Chief Jacob Eshenake later visited some of the Uncompleted buildings in the community to dialogue with the Occupants and explained to them that security in the area was now a huge concern as unknown gunmen recently killed a member of the community
