The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom HRM (DR.) Emmanuel E. Sideso, Abe I, (JP) OON yesterday(13/5/2026) reconstituted a 11-member security committee cutting across all tribal groups and stakeholders to sustain the current peace drive in the Communities.
The reconstituted peace committee is headed by Chief Jacob Eshenake. Others are Chief Ndidi Aminu-alternate chairman, Hon Clinton Ogigi-secretary/member, Chief Daniel Ekah, Chief Godfrey Okoloba as well as representatives of Hause, Ibo, Yoruba, Edo/Esan, Igara and Ilaje Communities.
Speaking on the occasion the Uvwie Monarch reminded the members that it is a standing Committee and could be dissolved anytime.
Terms of Reference: To hold regular meetings with the Government Security Agencies in Uvwie Local Government Area to assess/review the security situations and proffer solutions to any impending security threat. (ii) Any other duty that may be assigned to it by the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.
