In recent days, Nigerians witnessed something deeply troubling and insulting:
the Fulani socio-cultural group KACRAN attempting to lecture the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa, on how to fight insecurity.
This is the same insecurity that for over a decade has devastated Hausa communities, destroyed farms, displaced families, and created mass graves across the North.
Yet the moment the Minister begins to show real courage and decisive action,
Fulani elites suddenly remember the word “non-kinetic approach.”
1. When the government finally fights criminals, Fulani elites become uncomfortable why?
Within just one week of entering office, General Musa oversaw operations that:
neutralized a top bandit leader, (Kacalla Kallamu)
dismantled more than 200 BANDITS,
and restored a level of hope we have NOT seen since the early months of the Tinubu administration.
This is the first time in months that Nigerians especially Hausas felt that the military is finally serious about ending terrorism and banditry.
But instead of applauding this progress, KACRAN rushed to warn him, preaching their usual sermon about “balanced, non-force solutions.”
Why?
Because whenever the heat reaches the forests where the criminals hide,
Fulani elites suddenly rise with a chorus of “dialogue, dialogue, dialogue!”
We know this tactic too well:
When bandits are winning keep quiet.
When government fights back call for peace talks.
This manipulation is older than the Sokoto Caliphate itself.
2. Since when do cattle rearers instruct the Minister of Defence?
It is unbelievable that a socio-cultural group would attempt to dictate national security strategy to the Minister of Defence.
This is the same defence minister whose duty is to protect ALL ethnic groups, not to please a handful of elites who are uncomfortable when criminals from their side of the fence begin to fall.
General Musa did not seek their advice.
President Tinubu did not appoint him to serve their interest.
And Nigerians will NOT allow KACRAN or any group to sabotage this progress.
3. Their media propaganda has already started
Just yesterday, BBC Hausa amplified a narrative from some Fulani actors claiming that “Yan banga are harassing Fulani in Zamfara.”
Who exactly is being harassed?
Who is being denied access to vigilante groups?
Why is it only when bandits come under fire that such stories suddenly appear?
If there is injustice anywhere, the door of the law is open.
But NOBODY has the right to use emotional propaganda to slow down counter-terrorism operations.
4. The pattern is clear: Sulhu (Dialogue) is their strongest weapon of manipulation
And Nigerians must understand this game:
Whenever the government moves to crush bandits,
Fulani elites quickly shout “SULHU!” dialogue.
But this is NOT peace-building.
This is a shield used to:
give criminals time to relocate,
dissolve military pressure,
and keep the war in a state of permanent stalemate.
This same manipulation weakened operations during the later months of 2023 and 2024 when some officials sabotaged military momentum in the name of peace initiatives.
5. We will not allow anyone to undermine General Christopher Musa
The Minister of Defence has shown commitment.
He has shown courage.
He has shown results in a matter of days.
Hausa people and all peace-loving Nigerians stand firmly behind him.
KACRAN has NO authority, NO mandate, and NO legitimacy to dictate security strategy.
If they want dialogue, they should go and dialogue with their own community baragurbi,
not interfere with national defence operations that are finally bringing results.
Conclusion
The message is simple and non-negotiable:
KACRAN, stay in your lane.
Allow the Minister of Defence to do his job.
Nigeria is tired of endless dialogue while innocent people are buried daily.
This war must be fought with full force, without fear, favour, or ethnic sentiment.
This rejoinder represents the voice of millions who have suffered too long
and who finally see a glimmer of hope under a Defence Minister ready to act.
