The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, JP, OON has told companies operating in the communities to signed MOUs with only the Inuevworos(his representatives) warning that the palace should not be held accountable if they failed to do so.
Abe 1 spoke early this week when the management of NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company(NGIC) led by Engr. Mustapha Anas, Executive Director, Asset Management paid a courtesy visit to his palace in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Council to celebrate with him on the occasion of his 15th year coronation anniversary.
He advised companies operating in the community to always consult with the traditional institutions and that ad-hoc Community Liaison Committees set up by the traditional institutions and should not be made to sign MOUS without the involvement of the Inuevworos
While thanking them for the visit and what they have done so far for the community, the monarch also advised companies operating in the community not to get involved in local politics which could be detrimental to their operations
Earlier the NGIC Director thanked the Uvwie monarch for his support and wished him more years on the throne of his ancestors.
