The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON who returned to Effurun on Sunday after a long holiday abroad has reinstated that he will continue to promote the best ideals for his people saying that education and sustained peace are the cornerstone for rapid development of the kingdom
Amidst pomp and ceremony, the Ovie who was welcomed by excited community and political leaders at Osubi airstrip after three months holiday in United Kingdom thanked the acting Unuevworo of Uvwie, Chief Hope Akasa and the Chairman, Uvwie LGC, Hon. Ramson Tega Onoyake for sustaining the peace in the Kingdom.
The monarch re-instated his resolve to continue to promote only the best for the Uvwie people urging all community and political leaders to also continue to promote the peace and prosperity of the Uvwie people
He re-emphasised the importance of education stressing that education had placed several Uvwie sons and daughters in strategic position all over the world urging them to always remember their root.
According to him the recent funeral ceremony of the Queen of England which was watched all over the world was a good example of how respect should be accorded to elders and thanked the people of Uvwie for their continuous prayers for him which he attributed to his current good health and peace in the kingdom
He noted the importance of using technology to address the security challenges facing Nigeria saying that the adequate introduction of CCTV cameras could go a long way in reducing crime and manpower deployed all over the streets to maintain the peace which he described as waste of human resources
The Ovie of Uvwie urged community and political leaders to strive to live in harmony with everybody no matter the position of the person saying that respect was reciprocal
The welcome ceremony was attended by Uvwie Community leaders, Uvwie LGC Chairman, Hon. Ramson Onoyake, Delta state commissioner for Project and Audit, Chief Tony Ofoni, President General, Uvwie General Improvement Union(UGIU), Chief Hope Erute, Heads of Security Agencies, Arewa and Yoruba leaders
