Over 100 traditional rulers have already arrived Asaba, Delta state for the Association of Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria(TROMPCON) National Conference which will be declared open by the State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa tomorrow
The National Secretary of TROMPCOM, HRM Oba Femi Ogbaro in a statement invited Traditional Rulers, Guests and the General Public to arrive the venue of the conference in good time as all arrangements have been concluded by the National Executive Council(NEC) to hold the meeting.
He said plans have been put in place to ensure proper observations of all necessary Federal Government Covid-19 protocols during the meeting adding that Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State will declare the conference open.
TROMPCON Delta State Chairman, HRM Dr. Emmanuel E. Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom is expected to welcome the traditional rulers with an address, stressing the importance of traditional rulers responsibility to lead the battle to emancipate their people from the clutches of deliberate deprivation and avoidable but seemingly endless impoverishment.
A keynote address on “The Relationship Between The Oil and Gas Producing Communities And The International Oil Companies Operating In Niger Delta Areas. What Impact Has It Made On The People? will be presented by Professor Joseph Abugu(SAN) of the University of Lagos.
