Uvwie Monarch Thanks Okowa for New Projects in His Kingdom, Pleads for Early Completion of Mother-care Centre, Ekpan

The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Dr. Emmanuel E. Sideso Abe 1, JP, OON has commended Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for commissioning two projects in his kingdom in the last two weeks. He spoke in Effurun, when the Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom commissioned the ultramodern new storey building at Army Day Secondary School on Tuesday(27/4/2021)

The Uvwie Monarch noted in a welcome address that the commissioning of the project had further revealed Governor Okowa’s passion for education. “You have not limited your efforts to physical infrastructure but all areas of human capital development, especially in Uvwie Kingdom. The Uvwie people are grateful for these laudable projects”

HRM Sideso however pleaded with Gov. Okowa for the Mother and Child care hospital, Ekpan to be completed to reduce the pressure on the current facilities at the General Hospital. Also, he said the Ohorhe Secondary school where two teachers were kidnapped last year needed some remedial work like gate house as well as night and day guards.

The Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, while commissioning the new Storey Building at Army Day Secondary School, Effurun and the rehabilitated Oha/Orerokpe/Oviore road also yesterday commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s strides in education and road construction.

He said Deltans did made mistake in voting Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for second term because according to him, Gov. Okowa was hardworking, diligent, committed and determined to make sure that he add value to the development of  State and Nigeria at large.

Dr. Ortom noted that the level of injustice in the country was probably responsible for the various agitation emanating from the geo-political zones. He said he would continue to preach unity of Nigeria stressing “we are better as a country.

“Let there be justice for all irrespective of our ethnic and religions; we should be united as a nation. God has been with Nigeria and will never abandon our country.

“What is happening today, I believe when God arises, enemies of this country will scatter and we shall have our peace.”

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in a remark both at Effurun and Oha towns, said he would continue to do his best for the people, hence the continuous commissioning of completed projects in the state and that his administration was committed to improving the lives of the people through infrastructural development.

“I thank God for the traditional rulers we have in this state, they have continued to partner with the government of this state to achieve peace. “We are continued to remain focus on our dreams” he said.

Okowa urged the people to cooperate with his administration to enable him to continue to impact meaningfully on their lives.
