HRM Emmanuel E. Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON, the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom has enjoined youths to see Professor Joseph Abugu SAN as their role model just as he stressed the need for Uvwie sons and daughters to take education seriously saying the era of youths’ restiveness was over .
Speaking when he played host to Uvwie first professor of law, Professor Joseph Abugu who was recently elevated to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria,SAN at his palace, the Uvwie monarch noted that the kingdom has continued to produce scholars in different fields of life including the minister of state for Labour and Productivity, Hon Festus Keyamo, SAN amongst others.
According to him, the kingdom is now peaceful and urged investors that left during the time of youths restiveness to return and invest in the kingdom.
He commended the state Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for continuously supporting the scholarship funds of Uvwie kingdom.
The Ovie of Uvwie stated that for the third time the Delta State Governor Dr ifeanyi Okowa has donated the sum of five million naira to Uviwe scholarship fund and thanked the Governor for his continuous support to the kingdom in terms of development and appointments.
For his part, Professor Joseph Abugu commended the Ovie for the honour and pledged to continuously contribute his quota towards the development of Uvwie Kingdom
Prof Abugu stated that Uvwie kingdom is peaceful since the Ovie of Uvwie Abe 1 ascended the throne urging the youths to sustain the peace in the kingdom.
