HRM Emmanuel Sideso, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom has said that education is the key in his vision of sustainable peace and development in his kingdom, promising more Scholarships for youths
The monarch who spoke in Effurun, Delta State at the weekend while addressing new chiefs, called on well meaning indigenes and other Nigerians to partner with the palace and donate generously to the education fund. About 240 students have already been awarded scholarship.
He disclosed that the Delta State Government as a sign of support for the laudable project had pledged to contribute N5m yearly to the Scholarship fund
He advised new chiefs to key into his new vision of sustainable Peace and development warning that any of them that support gangsterism or engage any vices will be blacklisted, derobed and shamed
HRM Sideso urged the new chiefs to be shining examples to the youths and promote co-existence to create enabling environment for more investment and employment for the youths.
He commended the most senior Chief in Uvwie and Okere Urhobo Kingdoms, Chief George Amurun JP. for his consistency, punctuality and exemplary display of leadership.
