The Ovie of Uvwie, HRM Dr. Emmanuel E. Sideso, Abe 1, at the weekend conferred chieftaincy titles on 35 worthy citizens, among them are Delta State Governor’s aide on community development, Chief Peters Iffie, Olorogun John Oguma, the CEO, Obakpor Engineering Limited and Chief Omafume Amurun, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Delta Online Publishers Forum.
During the occasion, the Uvwie monarch enjoined his people to join hands with him to bring development, peace and progress to the Uvwie nation just as he advised petition writers to refocus their energies to positive community service.
The popular Ema and Udje dances were on hand to entertain guest which included some traditional rulers, captains of industries, service chiefs and politicians .
Among those conferred with chieftaincy titles were, Chiefs Eyimofe Akemu, Agbofode Vincent, John Ogume, Queen Oguma, Vivian Oguma, Joy Oguma, Joel Idiahi, Anthony Erute, Edmond Ajobo, Christopher Agbone, Goodluck Eguere and Efe Ariureje.
Others are Chiefs Eric Egere, Lucky Okoro, Daniel Ugavah, Edmond Ofudje, Roy Oke, Otemu Oyeghe, Lucky Omoko, Diamond Okobaro, Jacob Awinoje, Edeki Sunday, Efe Erute, Francis Ogun, and Edward Ireruke.
Also conferred with chieftaincy titles are Chiefs Dickson Najomoh, Uzor Imiruaye, Lawrenta, Erhisowode, Johnbull Majemite, Jacob Eshenake, Tom Eyejewefe, Roland Otomiewo and Faith Omokoh
