There has been a spate of kidnappings in Nigeria, which crime is bringing the country to its knees.
It is unfortunate, but only too true, that when Nigerians are introduced to some form of misdemeanour, they nourish and develop it, they translate it into more sophisticated heights, and there is the sickening realisation that Nigerians will also translate the art of kidnapping to elevated heights.
What is it meant when it is stated that kidnapping is a crime? Crime is defined as an illegal action for which a person may be punished by law. But this definition of crime is riddled with loop-holes. It is debatable, for what may appear to be a criminal act in one situation, may in another case appear perfectly lawful.
It is hard to define crime, because the human being who is called to administer Justice over the so-called “criminal,” does not always have all the facts or training at his disposal.
Therefore great injustices are perpetrated in man’s attempts to administer Justice, and many innocent men spend unlimited ages awaiting trial, awaiting “Justice” which in many cases never comes!
In spite of these draw-backs, let us examine the concept of crime. What constitutes a crime, and who by extension is a criminal? Let us attempt to sketch a portrait of a common criminal, and the criminal kidnapper.
Men fall into different categories. We have those that are interested in the progress of society as a whole. They are satisfied when things are “going well” for themselves, as well as for other people. They are uncomfortable when their neighbours are stressed or distressed, and they are generally pleasant in attitude and orientation.
On the other hand we have persons who exhibit wicked tendencies, even from an early age. They are innately cruel, and do not care for people apart from themselves. They are not interested in the weal and woe of their fellow man. They embrace a wide spectrum of social disorders, and they often find themselves polarising towards evil gangs which often perambulate in the hours of darkness, after midnight and before 4 00 am. They range from the “common” or “petty-thief” and the “pick-pocket” to the rapists, the burglars, the counterfeiters, the money launderers, the confidence- tricksters, the assassins, and finally to the murderers, which murderers can dispatch a man to the grave with a well aimed knife-blow to the stomach, or with a bullet to the head! The murderer can often do this without losing a second’s sleep . Finally such miscreants show little or no remorse for their actions and inactions, for their deeds and misdeeds!
It must be realised that a parallel framework of activities has arisen amongst men to counter these evil-doers. This is the police force, and to some extent even the military. These organisations are brought into existence to ensure that the evil man (or evil country) does not ride slip-shod, over innocent individuals, and nations. Society has to be designed with the parameter of the evil man in tow. That is why we have fences, walls, burglary proofs, gates, police- dogs, security personnel and intercoms. That is why our money is transported from bank to bank in bullion vehicles. That is why we have law courts and that is why we have prisons and other correctional facilities. That is why we have punishment.That is why we have capital punishment. In local parlance in present-day Nigeria, is “insecurity.” But what can explain the emergence of the man of today, who in essence in many cases acts no differently from a beast? Just read the newspapers and watch the television! Man has not evolved as his Creator envisaged. In a majority of cases, man has emerged as a destructive outcast, an outlaw, a sham being! Man, how grievous is the catalogue of your crimes, to which crimes you add on as a harvest, hourly, daily and yearly? The beautiful world of islands, parks, grass-lands, mountains, hills, flowers and meadows, all beautifully handed over to you for your pleasure, you have devastated with contemptible indifference!
Think of the crude oil that God gave to man freely to his machines, all manner of cars, boats and aeroplanes, and see what man has mismanaged it all! Almost everything that a man has touched, he has ruined! Is it not pathetic!
In addition clarity in all these matters and answers to all these questions, can be further obtained by making reference to an epic Teaching of a German writer, and Truth-Bringer, named Abd ru shin. Abd ru shin’s postulations are contained in an epic literary compedium of 168 lectures titled “The Grail Message, In The Light of Truth.”In this Grail Message the path of such criminals can be anticipated, and may be seen to be very stony, because all such criminals will have to pay a heavy penance for their reckless acts. At the physical deaths of such criminals, a film is played out to such unfortunates showing them the havoc they have wreaked to hundreds of innocents by their wicked actions while on earth, so that they in a neutral manner can chart for themselves and give themselves a score for their deeds and misdeeds, their actions and inactions. It shows how their acts of murder etc. have impacted negatively on the victims and their unfortunate relatives. It is all well and good for the murderers to be arraigned before the earthy law courts, but it must be realised that a separate and higher Justice is meted out
to the murderer. This Higher Justice, is un-influenced and independent of the opinions of men. This Justice is Divine Justice, before which there can be no error, no delay!!And the murderer will descend to a plane in the spiritual beyond (other world) in which place he will be bitterly punished for all his mistakes. He will find himself surrounded by all persons who while on earth made murdering their activity of choice. He will find all his fellow murderers on this plane. This plane is termed Hades, or Hell, or the plane of restitution for all foul acts. Furthermore, he will see that on this plane, all his co-tenants here will be striving to murder each other! The murderer will spend ages in this plane of retribution until he becomes tired and fed up with all the murdering, and murderous plots being undertaken against him, until he himself tires from the chaos meted out against all these members, and he prays to God to remove him from such an appalling environment.
It is only at such a time that he prays for such a deliverance, that help will now be extended to him from a guide in the beyond, so that he can again begin to slowly arise from these
planes of utter Darkness. It is this prayer that he utters that finally brings a solution to his endless journeying in Error!
To such a murderer the words of the German poet rings true:
Though the mills of God ground slowly,
Yet they grind exceeding small;
Though with patience He stands waiting,
With exactness grinds he all.
(Frederich Von Logau, 1604 – 1655).
But let us address ourselves to the poignant question which asks:”why is there so much murder (evil) upon this earth?” The answer to this is again supplied by Abd ru shin who explains that God has equipped men on earth with the faculty of “choice,” which is the act of allowing men to behave as they wish (will). This attribute is described as the “Free-Will” of man. A man can act exactly as he pleases. But he is subject to the law of returns,” otherwise referred to as “The Law of Karma.”In other words he is subject in equal measure to the dividends of his actions and inactions, whether these be good or evil. Abd ru shin teaches that for thousands of years men unfortunately chose evil over good, and this resulted in a contamination of the quality of the human species on the planet.
Abd ru shin explains that with the preponderance of evil over good, evil men held sway on earth, and were able to lower a bridge from the earth to the darker souls who inhabit the darker regions of the beyond. And these reprobate souls are able to arrive here as if they are brought over on a bridge, and they populate a greater part of the earth. Abd ru shin declares that over one half of the souls that dwell on this earth at this present time, do not belong here at all, but should be silently maturing in the lower planes of Darkness.
Abd ru shin writes:
“Rejoice, for this Divine Justice is near! It is already working in every country on earth! Look at the confusion! This is the effect of the approaching Will of God! It is the setting in of the purification! For this reason everything that is wrong among men is already now meeting with its doom, be it in economics, the state, politics, the churches, sects, peoples, families and “also in the individual! Everything, everything is now dragged before the Light, so that it may reveal and simultaneously judge itself therein! Also what has hitherto been able to remain hidden must reveal itself as it really is, must become active, and thus finally, despairing of itself and others, disintegrate and turn to dust.
“Thus even now there is a boiling up under the pressure of the Light in all countries, everywhere. Every kind of tribulation is increasing to the point of despair, until finally nothing remains but hopelessness, with the realisation that the would be saviours had only empty words besides selfish desires, but could offer no help! Spiritual warriors are sweeping over all humanity, and striking sharply where a head refuses to bow.
“Only then would there be the right soil that pleads once more for God’s help! After murder and fire, starvation, pestilence and death, after man has recognised his own incapacity.
The great upbuilding begins.
