Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has said Deltans should blame the immediate past administration led by Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan for its failure to complete the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri road in Warri South Local Government Area.
Governor Okowa made the assertion at the People’s Democratic Party,PDP’s Campaign held at the Warri Township Stadium today(9/1/2019)
The Governor said,”You don’t have to blame me that the Trans-Warri/Ode-Itsekiri road is not completed. Blame the immediate past administration and not me.”
Governor Okowa disclosed that on assumption of Office the past administration owed the contractor handling the project the sum of eight billion, eight million naira.
According to Governor Okowa, “Because of the debt, the contractor abandoned work and moved out of site.”
Governor Okowa who was flanked by his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Commissioner for Transportation,Mr. Vincent Uduaghan and others noted that on assumption of office,”I mobilized the contractor back to site with three billion, three million naira so that they can complete the project.”
Governor Okowa promised that he will complete the Ubeji road which is under construction before the forthcoming elections.
He boasted that the People’s Democratic Party,PDP will defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC and other political parties in the State just as he appealed to Deltans to come enmass to obtain the Permanent Voter’s Card as well as vote for him and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates in the elections.

Former Minister of Defense, Chief Rolland Oritsejafor, Sen. James Manager and other members of the People’s Democratic Party said the Delta State Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa deserved a “Second term” in Office.
Chief Oritsejafor, brother of the former National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN, Pastor Ayodele Joseph Oritsejafor made the declaration at the PDP Campaign in Warri.
Chief Oritsejafor said,”Governor Okowa, you’re welcome to Warri. They crowd you’re seeing is saying that “Okowa Dey work, we dey see am.
Chief Oritsejafor said the people of Warri are ready to vote for the governor as well as defend their votes for him.
According to Chief Oritsejafor,” Governor Okowa stands for credibility, accountability and performance.
“He has done so well that Delta has become a pacesetter in this Country.”
Speaking for Warri Urhobos, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba appealed to Deltans to keep faith with the PDP stressing that Governor Okowa has been exemplary in the areas of development in the State.
While noting that the Warri Urhobos get the benefits that accrues to them in terms of development, Chief Okumagba said,”Governor Okowa deserves a second term.
He argued that the PDP Zoning formular must be upheld stressing that Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan served two terms. “Dr. Okowa deserves a second tenure. What’s good for the goose, should be good for the gander.”
The PDP Board of Trustee Chairman, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire said Governor Okowa has improved the state of public schools and hospitals in the State.
The former Minister of Information also noted that all federal roads that were in bad shapes have been repaired by the governor. Prof. Oyovbaire urged the Governor to be vigilant.
