Mr. Agas recalled that at the time Gov. Okowa assumed office, crude oil export was almost collapsing due to the activities of ex-militants, resulting to poor revenue for state, but with deft management of the situation he was able to ensure security in the oil producing communities by engaging all the aggrieved parties.

According to him, the governor made them to understand that in the long run, the pollution arising from pipeline bombing will impact on their communities, with less revenue accruing to the state for development and they agreed with the governor.

He said currently with improved, there was massively road construction in the state and the riverside communities in particular while abandon projects and model schools were being completed. He said Gov. Okowa’s Jobs and wealth creation programme had pulled several youths out of the job market

Mr. Agas described Okowa as a promise keeper saying that this had endeared himself to most people because he had a lot of experience in governance. He was once a Local Government Chairman, Commissioner of Health, Secretary to State Government and a Senator
