When you have ‘over-threatened’ a child over perceived wrongdoing and same fella first runs but comes back with a long and thick cane and hands over to you and says: “I am ready for the punishment sir.”
Now, you hand the child six strong lashes and the next thing he asks is this: “Is that all sir?”
No matter how strong you are, that child has scored a PSYCHOLOGICAL VICTORY over you. Not for that day alone, but as long as you can imagine.
EFCC has carried on, DISGRACEFULLY, as if the moment Ayodele Fayose finished his term he would be EXECUTED without trial. In fact, they did a despicable Twitter post that they had to shamefully pull down after so much outcry.
You would be forgiven if you thought the whole anti-corruption war of Buhari was about Fayose alone.
Yet, even the MOST STUPID of the Buhari herd knows that Fayose’s ORIGINAL SIN was his trenchant criticisms of Buhari.
What are they trying him for? The money Dasuki allegedly gave him in 2014 and 2004 Poultry Issue. Nothing about his stewardship in Ekiti in the last four years.
So those who called Fayose a clown today perhaps do not understand the power of WEAKENING your traducer PSYCHOLOGICALLY. Take the battle to him and he will retreat.
He is a rabble-rouser and one many love to hate, but I can assure you one thing:
Fayose will come on tops against EFCC. Not because of lack of merit of the case, but because EFCC has made it clear ab initio that it was NOT about anti-corruption. But a personal vendetta against Fayose on behalf of Buhari.
