The Patriarch of the IBRU Family, and the Otota of Agbarha Otor Kingdom, Olorogun Michael Christopher Onajirhevbe IBRU (OFR) is dead.
According to a statement signed by Mr. Goodie M. Ibru, the late Nigeria’s foremost industrialist answered the call to Glory in the early hours of today.
The late Olorogun Michael Ibru was born in 1930 and he established the Ibru Organization in 1956 which he later pioneered to a multi billion-dollar conglomerate with interests in shipping, aviation, banking, breweries as well as Oil and Gas.
He hails from Agbarha-Otor in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State and attended the famous Igbobi College, Lagos.
He joined the services of UAC in 1951 and left in 1956 to partner with English man Jimmy Large to form Laibru General Trading Company.
