The Niger Delta People Salvation Front cum Niger Delta People Volunteer Force (NDPSF/NDPVF), that our leader, Alhaji Mujahedeen Abubakr Dokubo Asari, has been marked for assassination by the Nigerian State and subsequently been murderously attacked by agents of the Nigerian State under the watch of Muhammadu Buhari.
For several hours the whereabouts of our leader was unknown until momments ago. We assure our members, friends and family that our leader is safe and has left Warri.
Let it be known, that we are monitoring events as they unfold and we sure know where to point at in any event as this is an open invitation to anarchy in the Niger Delta Region. As it stands the Nigerian State is determined to achieve renewed conflict in the region despite it’s pretentious peace initiatives in the region.
However, the leader Alhaji Mujaheeden Abubakr Dokubo-Asari has directed that his followers remain calm and resolute but prepared as he would further issue a personal statement shortly.

ALHAJI ASARI DOKUBO IS HALE AND HEALTHY
The leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has been inaudated with calls relating to an alleged attack on Alhaji Asari Dokubo, former President of the Ijaw Youth Council by military men. Considering the security sensitive nature of the matter the IYC leadership wishes to state and inform the general public that there is no truth in the story. Alhaji Asari Dokubo is hale and healthy. We call on Ijaws and Niger deltans especially the youths to disregard the story and go about their normal activities.
However, the IYC leadership notes that the massive deployment of military men in the Niger Delta is causing so much anxiety and fear in the region. There is no reason for the deployment of the military especially now that stakeholders are taken step towards the peaceful resolution of the renewed hostilities in the Niger Delta. The military deployment calls to question the sincerity of the federal government towards peaceful resolution of the crisis. We therefore call on the federal government of Nigeria to in the interest of peace demilitarise the Niger Delta region.
