The National President, Ijaw Peoples Development Initiative(IPDI) Comrade Austin Ozobo has alleged that IPDI spokesman, Daniel Ezekiel was abducted from a hospital in Ometan, Warri after he was lured by a girl suspected to be Michael Johnny’s friend.

 Comrade Ozobo who spoke at a press conference alleged that Mr. Johnny has been framing up Ijaw youths and at the same time using unknown gun men to abduct and arrest Ijaw youths in recent times

 “Michael Johnny is our prime suspect of the abduction of Daniel Ezekiel. Before his abduction on the 2^nd of August 2016, Comrade Ezekiel cried out publicly that his life was being threatened by Michael Johnny with a GSM no 08094999999. Ezekiel revealed that Johnny further boasted that he will use his position and connection in government to ensure that he was framed up and made to suffer” he stressed

 According to Ozobo, the threat was formally reported in the Vanguard Newspaper of July 22^nd 2016. He explained that the threat was issued by Michael Johnny when Daniel Exekiel queried the arrest of one Hon. Simeon Bebenimibo and Oluba Bombay on the social media urging for their release

 He said Daniel Ezekiel was not a member of any criminal group, a man of clear conscience as well as a member of a registered right group, the Ijaw People Development Initiative. “If those that abducted Daniel have anything against him, let them charge him to any competent court of law and allow him to exercise his freedom of fair hearing.”

 Comrade Ozobo however appealed to the security agents to passionately look into this matter as regards the threat and the subsequent abduction in the course of investigation and possible bring the said Johnny to justice

When contacted, Michael Johnny denied involvement in the abduction of anybody saying he was a man of peace and integrity
