The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON has urged the management of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc to complete the three flyover bridges in Effurun as scheduled without compromising quality.
Abe 1 one who spoke in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Council on Tuesday(20/2/2024) when Mr. Frederic Wiser, the Regional General Manager, Julius Berger paid a courtesy call on him said his palace would provide all necessary support to ensure that there was no disruptions in the company’s work schedule.
According to him, the palace has a very strong security team drawn from all major ethnic groups in the country to ensure the sustenance of peace and security at all times in Uvwie Kingdom
The monarch also urged the company to draw more of his work force from the immediate community as there was large pool of well qualified youths in the communities.
He prayed for the General Manager and hoped that this would be the beginning of more jobs for the company in Delta State.
Earlier, Mr. Wiser, Julius Berger Regional Manager has thanked the Uvwie Monarch for receiving him saying this was the first job they were executing for Delta state government although the company had been doing several other jobs for the federal government in the state
He promised that the three flyovers would be completed in 27 months and appealed for support from the monarch and his people adding that this would be the beginning of more contract from the state government. He was accompanied by Mr. U. Ferdinand, the company’s public relations officer.
Present on the occasion were community leaders from Ebrumede, Enerhen as well as the leaders of Uvwie General Improvement Union and Effurun Development Union amongst others
It would be recalled that on October 18, last year, Delta state Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and top management staff of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, signed a N78 billion contract for the construction of three flyovers in Effurun
