The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON has charged his people to protect companies operating in the community from miscreants who are often stranger elements, just as he called on companies to consider youths in the host community first when hiring workers to sustain the peace.
The Uvwie Monarch spoke in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Council of Delta State yesterday when he received the General Manager, SKECC Nigeria Limited, Mr. Liao You in his palace. SKECC is the company handling the reconstruction of Elume to Effurun roundabout road and the NPA express road to DSC roundabout recently awarded by the federal government.
Abe 1 said the Uvwie people under his leadership had decided to take responsibility to protect all companies operating in the community because they were agents of development and this had always been his prayers.
He noted that both the federal and state governments have been very good to the Uvwie people with the number of contracts already awarded for the development of the community.
“Prosperity has come to Uvwie, everybody must protect SKECC and Julius Berger. This is possible due to the peace in the kingdom. Don’t allow anyone to destroy Uvwie for us. Drive away trouble makers from the kingdom. We are hospitable people. Don’t stop any construction work. With negotiation, peace will always be achieved. From now on, only good things will be associated with the Uvwie Kingdom., the Monarch said
Earlier, the SKECC General Manager, SKECC, Mr. Liao You said he decided to visit the Uvwie Monarch for prayers and inform him of the award of the reconstruction of Elume to Effurun roundabout road and the NPA express road to DSC roundabout to his company. He promised to work in harmony with the Uvwie Kingdom.
