The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON has urged the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company(WRPC) to consider employing backup staff laid off a few years ago and more host community youths in order to sustain the peace in the communities
Speaking in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Council(ULGC) yesterday, when the WRPC Managing Director, Engr. Efifia Chu led a 11-man delegation to his palace, the Uvwie Monarch was unhappy that the refinery had already starting employing staff without considering experienced backup staff with several years of experience, who were laid off few years ago as well as the host community youths
While thanking the WRPC boss for the visit, he urged him to reconsider the current employment policy of the refinery
Responding, Engr. Efifia Chu agreed with the monarch that it made sense to employ experience workers particularly some of the backup staff and promised to look into the request.
He noted that the reign of HRM Emmanuel Sideso has brought peace to the Uvwie Kingdom and promised to always seek the fatherly advise of the monarch and his prayers
