In a statement on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, the Vice-President made his position known while answering questions after delivering the second foundation lecture of the Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, titled \u201cThe future is here earlier than we thought.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Akande quoted Osinbajo as saying that calling for restructuring of the country simply because the Federal Government controls a bigger portion of the resources may not be helpful or make a difference. \u201cEven if states are given half of the resources of the Federal Government, the situation will not change.<\/p>\n<p><code><!-- BEGIN JUMIA --><a href=\"http:\/\/marketing.net.jumia.com.ng\/ts\/i3556158\/tsc?amc=aff.jumia.44339.52450.53881&amp;tst=!!TIMESTAMP!!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/marketing.net.jumia.com.ng\/ts\/i3556158\/tsv?amc=aff.jumia.44339.52450.53881&amp;tst=!!TIMESTAMP!!\" alt=\"NG-[C:G.Comp,B:Hp,Wk:2716,Dim:336X280]:Laptops\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/code><\/p>\n<p><!-- END JUMIA --><\/p>\n<p>The only change is to diversify the economy,\u201d the Vice-President was quoted to have told the gathering. Osinbajo regretted that Nigeria is no longer earning enough income from oil and taxes.
