The cop shot and killed the murderous mom, police said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the daughters died at the scene, while the other was taken to an area hospital but didn\u2019t survive.<\/p>\n<p>It was unclear what the family was arguing about, said Sheriff Troy Nehls.<a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9652\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9652\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"mom and daughters\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters-272x182.jpg 272w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/mom-and-daughters.jpg 945w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Alayo-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-9619\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9619\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Alayo-2-300x250.jpg\" alt=\"Alayo 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Alayo-2-300x250.jpg 300w, http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Alayo-2.jpg 559w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a family argument that turned into a shooting,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut we\u2019re still trying to put the pieces together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheats\u2019 husband was in the home at the time and ran for help. \u201cHe\u2019s going through a very difficult time,\u201d Nehls said.<\/p>\n<p>Police visited the couple\u2019s home on more than one occasion, according to the Houston Chronicle.<\/p>\n<p>Christy Sheats was an outspoken gun-rights supporter, according to posts on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away, but that\u2019s exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semi-automatic handguns,\u201d she wrote on March 2.<\/p>\n<p>The mom also posted about her daughters, writing last September, \u201cHappy Daughter\u2019s Day to my two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful, intelligent girls.
