{"id":9588,"date":"2016-06-18T07:43:12","date_gmt":"2016-06-18T07:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=9588"},"modified":"2016-06-18T07:43:12","modified_gmt":"2016-06-18T07:43:12","slug":"newton-agbofodoh-arrested-again-over-alleged-murder-related-issues-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=9588","title":{"rendered":"Newton Agbofodoh arrested again over &#8220;alleged murder related issues&#8221; &#8211; Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><code><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaymu.com.ng\/computers-laptops-gaming\/?utm_source=pap&amp;utm_medium=aff&amp;utm_campaign=84f4a1bf&amp;a_aid=Omafume&amp;a_bid=84f4a1bf\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"\/\/kaymu.postaffiliatepro.com\/accounts\/default1\/a72f75b38\/84f4a1bf.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"http:\/\/kaymu.postaffiliatepro.com\/scripts\/a72f75i38?a_aid=Omafume&amp;a_bid=84f4a1bf\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><\/code><\/p>\n<div>THE Unuevworo of Ekpan community, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, High Chief Newton Agbofodoh was yesterday arrested by men of the State CIB, Nigerian Police, Army and before he was whisked away to unknown destination.<\/div>\n<div>An eyewitness told Independent Newspaper that some unknown policemen in company of soldiers stormed the residence of the traditional ruler of Ekpan community, Chief Agbofodoh at about <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1075077258\"><span class=\"aQJ\">3.50pm<\/span><\/span> without any formal invitation, beat him up and forcefully took him away to an unknown destination.<\/div>\n<div>The arrest of the traditional ruler led to a state of confusion in the community that has been going through series of crisis before now as women and youths immediately stormed the streets of Ekpan in protest against what they described as unlawful arrest of their traditional ruler.<\/div>\n<div>One of the protesting youths, Mr. Esegbona Okonana who spoke with <i>Independent<\/i> Newspaper, called on the state government to intervene and release the traditional ruler of Ekpan community, as he was not a fighter or part of the warring faction but a father of all in the community.<\/div>\n<p><!-- BEGIN JUMIA --><a href=\"http:\/\/marketing.net.jumia.com.ng\/ts\/i3556158\/tsc?amc=aff.jumia.44339.52450.24149&amp;tst=!!TIMESTAMP!!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/marketing.net.jumia.com.ng\/ts\/i3556158\/tsv?amc=aff.jumia.44339.52450.24149&amp;tst=!!TIMESTAMP!!\" alt=\"NG-[C:G.Mobi,B:Innj,Wk:2416,Dim:300X250]:Innjoo\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- END JUMIA --><\/p>\n<div>\u201cThis is oppressive and humiliating and disrespect to the traditional stool of the Uvwie Kingdom.
