{"id":7179,"date":"2016-01-13T07:23:05","date_gmt":"2016-01-13T07:23:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=7179"},"modified":"2016-01-13T07:23:05","modified_gmt":"2016-01-13T07:23:05","slug":"pdp-members-defecting-to-apc-are-political-prostitutes-abike-dabiri-erewa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=7179","title":{"rendered":"PDP members defecting to APC are Political prostitutes &#8211; Abike Dabiri-Erewa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Monday, frowned at the continued gale of defections of politicians from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to her party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6515\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/APC.jpg\" alt=\"APC\" width=\"237\" height=\"213\" \/>Dabiri-Erewa who expressed her disgust over the gale of defections, described it as shameful, calling the defectors \u201cpolitical prostitutes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a series of tweets via her Twitter handle, @abikedabiri, the ex-lawmaker, who represented Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos State, however said: \u201cThe rate of defection from PDP to APC is shameful. Political prostitutes, politics of convenience, not conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to her, the APC should not allow the defections, adding that \u201cBut APC leadership thinks otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She pointed that \u201cDefection should not be so easy.
