Tinubu’s media group has said it has returned moneys gotten from Dasuki. So many other dailies have. I will set out to prove the absurdity of this all.\nBuhari said in his presidential chat that GEJ authorized 40 billion for Dasuki. He himself has authorized 32 billion for his own NSA. So if that makes GEJ a bad leader, I guess Buhari too just sentenced himself just like he did when he said “anyone who tells you he is subsidizing anything is a thief.” and then he himself goes on to pay billions in subsidy.
\nSpeaking of sentencing selves, all media especially the Tinubu ones like Punch, the Nation etc etc were quick to call all who collected money from Dasuki thieves. When Dasuki then opened his chequebook, Buhari’s name and that of Tinubu joined Dokpesi and others. Now they are all forced to return moneys collected. If these moneys were illegally collected, returning it does not absolve one of a crime. It is tantamount to Pontius Pilate washing his hands while delivering Jesus to be crucified… USELESS in the main.
\nHowever, these moneys were judiciously used for matters of security and Tinubu returning money is nothing but being a victim of one’s o n flawed narrative.
\nThe narrative, as in what happened is that papers got hold of a cery damaging action by the army that could escalate the insecurity in the country. Soldiers ceased the papers and destroyed it on the orders of the NSA Dasuki in doing his job of securing Nigeria, same way Buhari’s army is secretly burying soldiers and hiding the number of Shiite children and women murdered in their homes. All governments do this. You must hide actions capable of causing unrest. The NSA then got the papers together and they reached a settlement for the papers destoyed and profit lost. Remember advertizers paid for spaces in those dailies. The NSA took from his security vote as he did when Buhari was attacked and gave him two vehicles, same way he took from his budget… the very budget Buhari is talking about in the presidential chat and settled the papers for their losses. HOW IS THIS WRONG? But their narrative and strange probing of “security votes” seeing that none of GEJ’s other ministers were found wanting and knowing that their probe of NNPC was yielding zero result of mismanagement or fraud, they picked on Dasuki’s “security vote”. Now they are returning money rightly due them for destruction of their wares. IS THIS NOT IDIOCY?
