A GENEROUS mum-of-three who bought 300 Christmas presents for her kids has hit back at haters who accused her of spoiling them.<\/p>\n

Emma Tapping, from the Isle of Man, posted a photo of her Christmas tree swamped by an enormous pile of gifts on social media last week.<\/p>\n

The image went viral and she has since been accused of \u201cabusing\u201d her children.<\/p>\n

Emma reposted the picture on her Facebook account<\/p>\n

Speaking on today\u2019s This Morning, Emma told hosts Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard her kids, two daughters aged 13 and nine and a son of 19 months, are not spoilt throughout the year.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: \u201cThe way I see it is you could buy your kids two presents or 200 presents, it’s the way you bring them up.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou could buy your kids two presents and still have a little terror, my kids know the difference between right and wrong and they appreciate everything they get and they don’t get spoilt throughout the year.<\/p>\n

This Morning hosts Holly and Ben asked Emma what she made of claims she ‘abused’ her children ITV<\/p>\n

Emma explained that she is \u201cnot rich\u201d and seeks advice from money saving experts like Martin Lewis to budget for her Christmas shopping, which starts during the January sales.<\/p>\n

She claims the presents \u2013 totalling around 85 each for her three children and husband \u2013 cost just \u00a31,500 in total.<\/p>\n

Emma said: \u201cI’m not rich at all, which is the first thing I wanted to point out because it’s been put all over the Internet after it had been taken from Instagram that I was rich and I spoil my children.<\/p>\n

“I literally start from January, I shop all the way through, I use every bargain that I can and every sale that I can.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat’s the way I do it, I shop all year round to make the pile as big as it is and start wrapping in August.<\/p>\n

“All in all it’s about \u00a31,500 worth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t have a credit card.<\/p>\n

Emma appeared on ITV’s This Morning to plead her case ITV<\/p>\n

\u201cMartin money expert, I follow him religiously and I do all the sales.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything full price I refuse to pay for.\u201d<\/p>\n

Writing on her Facebook page, Emma admitted: \u201cI LOVE christmas I LOVE spoiling my kids in the festive season and I work damn hard to make sure it is every bit as amazing as it can be.<\/p>\n

Emma said she loves spoiling her kids, but only during the festive season<\/p>\n

\u201cSo 2 fat fingers up to all the judgemental a**holes and big thanks to all the normal, everyday people who dont really give a shit about SOMEONE else’s christmas tree or got into the festive spirit with me.<\/p>\n

\u201cMerry christmas everyone (sic).\u201d<\/p>\n

In contrast to Emma, mum-of-two Jen Gale buys her children second-hand presents for Christmas and made her tree out of egg boxes and pom poms.<\/p>\n

Thrifty mum Jen Gale even makes her own Christmas tree ITV<\/p>\n

She told Ben and Holly her Christmas is \u201cvery different\u201d as they focus on \u201cconsuming less deliberately and consciously\u201d with many gifts handmade or second hand from charity shops or eBay.<\/p>\n

Jen said: \u201cWe’re trying to make memories about the joy of Christmas and the time we spend together.\u201d<\/p>\n

She admitted she knows there will be a day when her kids, aged seven and four, want expensive technology, but said she would cross that path when it came.<\/p>\n
