\"senate\"<\/a>Mixed reactions has continued to trail the release of names of ministerial nominees forwarded to the senate with a PDP senator mocking President Mohammadu Buhari saying, “We thought he will pick saints”<\/p>\n

Speaking to Channels Television shortly after Senate President Bukola Saraki read out the names at plenary, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP),\u00a0 said, “We have taken so long to have ministers and when the list came out, we found nothing special. These are names known to Nigerians.<\/p>\n

“We have seen the names. I don’t knowwhat to say because we were expecting saints”<\/p>\n

However APC law maker, Senator Ajayi Boroffice disagreed with his PDP counterpart describing the nomiees as “the best 11 of the country”<\/p>\n

The names of the Ministerial nominees submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari include;<\/p>\n

1. Dr. Chris Ngige \u2013 Fmr. Governor of Anambra State<\/p>\n

2. Dr. Kayode Fayemi \u2013 Fmr. Governor of Ekiti State<\/p>\n

3. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi \u2013 Fmr. Governor of Rivers State<\/p>\n

4. Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN \u2013 Fmr. Governor of Lagos State<\/p>\n

5. Gen. Abdurrahman Dambazau (Rtd.) \u2013 Fmr. Chief of Defence Staff<\/p>\n

6. Hajiya Aisha Alhassan \u2013 Fmr. Federal Lawmakers and Governorship Candidate<\/p>\n

7. Dr. Ogbonaya Onu \u2013 Fmr. Governor of Abia State and Fmr. National Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (which is part of the ruling All Progressive Congress)<\/p>\n

Senate President, Sen. BukolaSaraki announced that the Screening of Ministerial Nominees on the List will commence on Tuesday October 13, 2015.<\/p>\n
