{"id":4488,"date":"2015-03-07T07:55:45","date_gmt":"2015-03-07T07:55:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=4488"},"modified":"2015-03-07T07:55:45","modified_gmt":"2015-03-07T07:55:45","slug":"nigerian-sends-final-letter-to-his-lover-in-indonesia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=4488","title":{"rendered":"Nigerian Sends Final Letter To His Lover In Indonesia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>A Nigerian, who is on a death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking, has written a touching letter to say a final goodbye\u00a0to his girlfriend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Raheem Agbaje-Salami, 42, is due to be killed with nine other prisoners this month.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken from a prison in East Java to a prison on an Island off the southern coast of Java.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Agbaje-Salami in a letter submitted through the officials, called on his Indonesian lover, Angela Intan, to be strong and have faith in God.<\/p>\n<p>The letter said: \u201c<em>I want to thank and say goodbye to my beloved sweetheart, Angela Intan, who has stood beside me through happiness and sadness.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>\u201cThank you for everything, for the time we spent together. Knowing and loving you has been a gift and even though it was only for a short time it has had a deep meaning in my life<\/em>,\u201d the letter said.<\/p>\n<p>The man was sentenced to death for trying to traffic heroin into Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The officials said two other Nigerian drug smugglers were also scheduled to be executed this month after requests for presidential clemency were rejected.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In spite of appeals from the international communities for the Indonesia government not to kill <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naij.com\/365025-criticisms-trail-indonesias-execution-of-drug-offenders.html\" target=\"_blank\">six foreigners caught for smuggling drugs<\/a> into the Asian country, 6 drug traffickers were executed on Sunday, January 18, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Among the killed drug lawbreakers was a Nigerian, Daniel Enemuo, also known as Diarrssouba.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Nigerian, who is on a death row in Indonesia for drug trafficking, has written a touching letter to say a final goodbye\u00a0to his girlfriend.
