{"id":4093,"date":"2015-01-23T07:02:44","date_gmt":"2015-01-23T07:02:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=4093"},"modified":"2015-01-23T07:04:23","modified_gmt":"2015-01-23T07:04:23","slug":"robbers-paraded-with-ak47-guns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=4093","title":{"rendered":"Robbers Paraded With AK47 Guns"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/robbers.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4095\" alt=\"robbers\" src=\"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/robbers.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>Eight suspected armed robbers were paraded by the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday for their involvement in various robberies including N100m around Alakija, Festac and a micro finance bank in Benin Republic The nation reports.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>According to the nation the suspects were paraded with\u00a0a Toyota Sienna bus, two AK 47 rifles, 11 AK47 loaded magazines, which theys allegedly hid in a specially constructed compartment underneath the bus.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The names of the suspectswere given by the nation as, John Nnmadi, 42, (leader);\u00a0 Ifeanacho Igwe, 35, Samuel Igbi, 59, Anthony Umeh, 38, Chineye David, 29, Uchenna Eze,\u00a0 35, Victor Anamalechi, 45 and Desmond Obinna, 32<\/p>\n<p>The gang was apprehended\u00a0when\u00a0Nnamdi, the gang leader after receiving a call from the member, moved to deliver his international passport as requested but was caught.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI was arrested when Onyema called me to bring his international passport which he forgot in\u00a0 the Sienna. I did not know he has been arrested.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI have gone for about four operations in Nigeria and Benin Republic\u00a0I have not gone to any other country. We have never killed or shot anyone because we usually go at night and don\u2019t shoot.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>\u201cI usually hold one of the guns and give one of my guys another one. I have never used charm but I pray before going for operation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am a Catholic, I go for confessions but I have never told the Priest that I am an armed robber. I am from Obinwa in Abia State. I am married with a child and my wife is currently pregnant.
