{"id":395,"date":"2014-08-16T15:41:06","date_gmt":"2014-08-16T15:41:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=395"},"modified":"2014-08-16T15:41:06","modified_gmt":"2014-08-16T15:41:06","slug":"apc-will-participate-in-adamawa-governorship-bye-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=395","title":{"rendered":"APC will participate in Adamawa governorship bye-election"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"stcpDiv\">\n<p>The All Progressives Congress (APC)\u00a0in Adamawa said in Yola on Saturday that it would \u00a0\u00a0participate\u00a0in the Oct. 11 governorship bye-election.<\/p>\n<p>This is contained in a communiqu\u00e9 issued\u00a0at the end of\u00a0a two-day stakeholders meeting of the party.<\/p>\n<p>It contended that this was \u201cwith a view to reclaiming\u00a0the\u00a0stolen\u00a0mandate of the party.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The communiqu\u00e9 urged all members to be united and reconcile with one another for the success of the party.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0communiqu\u00e9,\u00a0read by Mr Phineas Padio, the party\u2019s Public Relations Officer in the state, said the Adamawa leadership of APC had agreed\u00a0to embrace\u00a0the political reality in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe APC regrets\u00a0the unfortunate\u00a0removal\u00a0of Nyako. The party also resolved\u00a0that while\u00a0 the pending\u00a0 legal\u00a0 issues\u00a0 subsist,\u00a0 the party\u2019s\u00a0 leadership\u00a0 has agreed\u00a0 to embrace\u00a0 the existing\u00a0 reality.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe meeting acknowledged\u00a0the tremendous\u00a0support\u00a0and goodwill\u00a0enjoyed by the party across the state.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The communiqu\u00e9 called on major stakeholders\u00a0to ensure\u00a0the survival and\u00a0operational\u00a0viability\u00a0of the party\u00a0by providing\u00a0the necessary logistic\u00a0and material support to it.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It also said that the meeting received\u00a0situation\u00a0reports\u00a0from\u00a0the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, adding that the party was healthy\u00a0and vibrant.
