A question likely to occur in the minds of many reader of the work, In The Light of Truth: The Grail Message by Abd-ru-shin is \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin?\u201d Persons asked of Christ the question: \u201cWhence has this man wisdom and these mighty works?\u201d This nature of poser is healthy in this rational world in which things are identified compartmentalised and pigeon-holed. Society also places a high premium on whom a person is, or whom he may become. They classify people as: chief, prince, professor, apostle, etc. Therefore a natural question to ask is \u201cwho is Abdu-ru-shin?\u201d<\/p>\n
Did Moses in front of burning bush in Hebron not ask: \u00a0\u201dWhen I come unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, The God of your fathers has sent me unto you, they shall say unto me what is his name? What shall I say unto them (Exodus 3.13)? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM, and He said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel. I AM halt sent me unto you. (Exodus 3. 14)<\/p>\n
Jesus Christ again faced many other questions? And when he came into his own country, he taught in their synagogue, in so much that they were astonished and said. \u201cWhence has this man this wisdom, these mighty works?\u201d Is this not the carpenter\u2019s son? When hath this man all these things? But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Mathew 13: 54-58). Therefore people will ask (of Abd-ru-shin) \u201cWho sent him? What is his name?\u201d<\/p>\n
Is there the possibility that in future individuals, peoples, races and even entire nations could become disfranchised because they could not answer the question \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin?\u201d On the work \u201cThe Grail Message, In The Light of Truth?\u201d What is the Grail, or more specifically, the \u201cHoly Grail?\u201d How can Abd-ru-shin claim to be writing \u201cIn The Light of Truth?\u201d Does this not again echo the fame poser of Pilate \u201cQuild est Veritas\u201d (What is Truth)? Did Abd-ru-shin (a writer since the age of thirty years) became one by \u201cchance.\u201d Or was his writing a preparation for a future task \u2013 the dissemination of a worldwide Message? After all does a worldwide task not come with a worldwide preparation? How awesome is providence, recompense and destiny that persons are meticulously prepared for their exact assignments!<\/p>\n
How come Abd-ru-shin\u2019s writings have been translated into over sixteen major world languages? Do his words sooth with honeyed kindness, or are they caustic, acerbic and acidic, rankling like the denunciation of Jeremiah, of whom it was proclaimed: See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, to build, and to plant (Jeremiah 1: 10)? Why does Abd-ru-shin feel that man needs help? Why does he state that the \u201ctrue helper\u201d of the human soul will not budge an inch to make concessions for mankind, and wherever he is expected to give he will demand? (The Call for The Helper. The Composite, Grail Message pg 15)<\/p>\n
Do the teachings of Abd-ru-shin provoke controversy? Are true teachings often at variance with establishment? Why did John the Baptist stand alone, baptizing in the barren desert near the Jordan? Why was he beheaded because of the severity of his teachings and his railings against adultery? Was Christ \u201cnot at variance\u201d with the scribes, Pharisees, high priests, Sadducees, Sanhedrin, and the money \u2013changers defiling the temple in Jerusalem? And did he not lash them out of it with a cord of thongs? Did he not warn: \u201cThink not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace but a sword. For I am come to set man at variance against his father and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law\u201d (Matt 10: 34-35) Why is it that teachings of truly acknowledged prophets (and of Jesus Christ) have not been \u201cpeaceful\u201d at the time they were given? Why is it that many of such teachings became more \u201cpeaceful\u201d the more they were altered, embellished and watered down by their adherents?<\/p>\n
Why did Abd-ru-shin also attract so much opposition during his life on earth and his writings after it? The answer can be gleaned from the followings: \u201cStrangely enough, whenever some messenger of the Light had to proclaim the Truth according to the Will of God, he was attacked, defiled, slandered and persecuted.\u00a0 This was done first and foremost by representatives and servants of the prevailing religious dogmas who pretended to serve God and by those who even had the effrontery to profess themselves as representatives of the Divine Will…(Shun The Pharisees. Pgs 836-837)<\/p>\n
Are Abd-ru-shin\u2019s teachings at variance with church tenets? Does \u201cvariation\u201d mean a negation of the old or the new? Did Jesus Christ not clarify: \u201cThink not that I am some to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (Mathew 5:17). Does Abd-ru-shin not declare: The meaning and purpose of the Message from the Light Through me in fulfilment of God\u2019s All-Holy Will is necessary extension of the knowledge for mankind? Jesus shall not be given up as the Son of God through my Message! He must be recognised as such all the more, but not as the servant and slave of a decayed humanity in order to carry their burden of guilt, or to redeem it so they may have it easier\u201d (Believers Merely Out of Habit, pg 918).<\/p>\n
How in his writings has Abd-ru-shin able to write about the seen and the unseen, about visible and invisible man? Where did Abd-ru-shin \u201cstudy\u201d? What \u201cdegrees\u201d does he hold? Does his possession (or non-possession) of such degrees make him more (or less) acceptable to \u201cestablishment?\u201d Whence has this man this wisdom, these might works? Is Abd-ru-shin guilty of presumption when he declares: \u201cWith my words I lead to God and also to Jesus, however in a more vital way than has been known in the past and not as people have trimmed it through their propensities for spiritual comfort\u201d (Believers Out of Habit. Pg 917)?\u201d<\/p>\n
How was Abd-ru-shin able to prophesy about the chaos that currently afflicts the nations when in 1927 he already wrote: \u201cDivine Justice is near! It is already working in every country on earth! Look at the confusion! This is the effect of the approaching Will of God! It is the setting-in of the purification! For this reason everything that is wrong among men is already now meeting its doom, be it econom8ics, the state, politics, the churches, sects peoples, families and also the individual! Everything, everything is now dragged before the Light, so that it may reveal and simultaneously judge itself therein\u201d(Submission pg154).<\/p>\n
Is Abd-ru-shin a teacher of the word, a teacher of the World, or a World Teacher? How does he speak so authoritatively about Christ, and authoritatively about every matter under the sun (and above It)? How is he so specific about history and prehistory? How is he lucidly able to identify and dismantle the roadblocks, bottlenecks and other infractions in the path of the human spirit? Can one afford to trifle with the question \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin?\u201d This is the nature of question that rankled Plate giving him no rest making him ask: \u201cArt thou King of The Jews? Art thou a king then? Whence art Thou?<\/p>\n
The poser: \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin?\u201d should give the reader the impetus to investigate more vigorously. A person\u2019s identity is stamped connected with his fingerprint, signature, handwriting, voice and even D.N.A all of which are his alone! A child\u2019s features often bear the imprint of hits father or mother, a painter can be identified by his brush-stroke, and the writer by his \u201cstyle.\u201d Therefore the poser: \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin\u201d can even be de-emphasised and substituted by an appropriate examination of his works, through which his \u201ccalling-card\u201d might be seen enabling the reader to unravel the poser: \u201cWho is Abd-ru-shin?\u201d<\/p>\n
