It is going to be a merry Christmas to devastated Okuama community as the Ukoko r’ivie r’Urhobo (Council of Urhobo Traditiional Rulers) today(12\/12\/2025) donated 500 tubers of yams, 15 bags of rice and five rams to the community, just as the monarchs commended Gov. Sheriff Oborovwori for his continuous support.<\/p>\n
Speaking while making the donation at Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Council, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso, Abe 1, JP. OON noted the successful execution of the housing project in Okuama by the state government which had brought a lot of relief to the devastated community<\/p>\n
The Uvwie Monarch who was joined by the group Vice Chairman, HRM Solomon Okukeren, Ovie of Arhawarien, the Ovie of Iidjerhe Kingdom, HRM King Obukowho Monday Whiskey, Udurhie 1 and the Ovie of Oghara, HRM Noble Eshemitan, Orefe 111 prayed for sustained peace in the area and hoped that the federal and state governments would take steps to release the detained Okuama community leaders<\/p>\n
He said though the state government was doing a lot for Okuama community, the Urhobo Traditional Rulers would ask for more and hope that the state government would remember the community during Christmas festival<\/p>\n
