{"id":30209,"date":"2024-07-02T18:44:01","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T18:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=30209"},"modified":"2024-07-02T19:45:08","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T19:45:08","slug":"accountants-must-leverage-on-technology-for-sustainable-income-sir-oghonuya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=30209","title":{"rendered":"Accountants Must Leverage on Technology for Sustainable Income \u2013 Sir Oghonuya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A consultant and digital accountant, Sir Oghonuya Kingsley has urged professional accountants to leverage on technology to increase their earnings because real money is in \u2018leverage income rather than linear income\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke in Effurun, Uvwie local government area of Delta state on Saturday, 29<sup>th<\/sup>, June 2024 when Mrs Emamuzo Felix-Agbugui was officially decorated as the 17<sup>th<\/sup> Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria(ICAN), Warri and District society<\/p>\n<p>According to Sir Oghonuya, leverage here is not referring to debt capital, it simply means a system put in place or taken advantage of that keeps generating income for you whether or not you are still in business.<\/p>\n<p>He explained further that leverage could be built in two ways as profession accountants, that is building a software or fintech like Sage or Quick book or affiliate such as partnership e.g Amazon Associates<\/p>\n<p>The digital accountant reminded them that it is no longer news that AI technology has come to stay and it is gradually replacing the accountant and accounting job.<\/p>\n<p>In this contest, he stated that digitalization is the process of using digital (AI) technology to create new or improved business processes, products and services to client or employers. \u201cThey use smart and cloud based accounting software and other digital tools to manage financial data and provide advice to clients and employers\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, the chairman of the occasion, High Chief Godwin Jefia Notoma, the immediate past president-general of Udu Kingdom said it was a thing of joy to be honoured as the chairman because he had known and appreciate Mrs Emamuzo Felix-Agbugui doggedness, assertiveness, focus and diligent pursuit of self actualization, fulfillment, pervading confidence and calmness, even when under pressure<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=19271&amp;ad_type=81&amp;rl=1800\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A consultant and digital accountant, Sir Oghonuya Kingsley has urged professional accountants to leverage on technology to increase their earnings because real money is in \u2018leverage income rather than linear income\u2019.
