Do you consider yourself a follower of Christ? Do you believe in Him and wish to adhere to His teachings? If so, I invite you to measure your faith by examining Matthew Chapters 5, 6, and 7. These chapters contain key teachings attributed to Jesus, and we will explore some of these passages in relation to contemporary beliefs and practices among Christians.<\/div>\n

MATTHEW CHAPTER 5<\/div>\n
Verses 17-18: If you believe that being born again exempts you from the law, reconsider these words:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Verses 43-45: If you endorse hate prayers against your enemies, reflect on this teaching:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”<\/div>\n

MATTHEW CHAPTER 6<\/div>\n
Verses 7-8: If your prayers are filled with many or repetitive words, heed this advice:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”<\/div>\n
Verse 24: If your prayers are solely focused on wealth and comfort, consider this warning:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Verses 31-33: If your goals are solely earthly, and you indulge in anxiety soaked prayers for material things, remember this:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”<\/div>\n

MATTHEW CHAPTER 7<\/div>\n
Verses 21-23: If you believe that merely accepting Jesus as \u201cpersonal lord\u201d ensures your salvation, note this:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'”<\/div>\n
Verses 24-27: If you think faith alone is sufficient, reflect on the necessity of action:<\/div>\n

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. CONCLUSION<\/div>\n
Examining the teachings from Matthew 5, 6, and 7 reveals that many contemporary beliefs and practices diverge from Jesus’ original Message. These chapters, part of the Sermon on the Mount, encapsulate the core teachings of Christ.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Unfortunately, many religious leaders have misinterpreted or distorted Jesus’ teachings, leading followers astray. To correct this, a new Message from the Kingdom of Heaven has been given, restoring the true signposts of faith. This Message calls us to return to the authentic teachings of Jesus, the Son of God guiding us towards the true path of salvation and redemption. Look for it!<\/div>\n
