Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director \u2013 Operations and Technical, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has denied allegation that his operatives were involved in crude oil theft by the Nigerian Navy stating further that &#8220;Perhaps they are not aware that video evidence of what transpired between the Tantita operatives and the Nigerian Navy at the scene exists and has been transmitted to the highest authorities. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Below are details of the Nigerian Navy allegation and what transpired at the high sea, in Ondo state<\/p>\n<p>08\/12\/2023<\/p>\n<p>TANTITA PRESS STATEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Our attention has been drawn to a defamatory and libellous statement made by the Nigerian Navy against our organisation, Tantita Security Services Limited.<\/p>\n<p>In the statement made on Thursday the 7<sup>th<\/sup> of December, 2023 by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, he informed the general public that the Nigerian Navy had detected and arrested a 77 meter long motor tanker for crude oil theft with her 17 crew members.<\/p>\n<p>He further added and we quote \u201cit is believed that Tantita Security Services is involved in these illegalities because Awoye riverine area which is close to the place of arrest is covered by TSS.<\/p>\n<p>Again it was upon the arrest of the vessel by the Nigerian Navy that TSS began to raise false alarm, totally unfounded and indeed mischievous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We are indeed saddened and disappointed that the Nigerian Navy could descend so low as to make such bizarre accusations against our organisation knowing same to be false.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps they are not aware that video evidence of what transpired between the Tantita operatives and the Nigerian Navy at the scene exists and has been transmitted to the highest authorities.<\/p>\n<p>We will therefore not join issues with the Nigerian Navy as we are well aware that Nigerians know who is who.<\/p>\n<p>Capt. WarrediEnisuoh<\/p>\n<p>Executive Director \u2013 Operations and Technical<\/p>\n<p>Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In the last week, Tantita<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Security Services Operatives in the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Igbokoda axis of Ondo State has been receiving and gathering<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">intelligence on a group of persons<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">planning to steal Crude Oil off the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">coast of Ondo State. Apparently,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">they had secured the thumbs-up<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">from unknown security personnel<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">as regards their intended<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">operation. The mode of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">stealing will be by ship, whose<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">name has been obliterated and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">unknown.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Chief amongst the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">beneficiaries of the planned<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">operation is one Mr. IWATAN<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">BAMITALEwhom is currently facing<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">charges in court under similar<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">circumstances.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The loading of the ship was to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">commence just before 2200hrs<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">local time on the 6th of December<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">2023. Tantita Security Operatives got confirmation that the unknown<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">ship is on location and has made<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">fast to the Well Jacket and that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">loading has commenced.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">At about 0300hrs local time<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Tantita Security Operatives set out<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">to secure the scene of the crime<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">via two boats. While underway,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">information reached us that the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">ship had onboard four AK-47 Riffles<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">and Ammunitions and we should<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">proceed with caution. This<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">prompted us to have a change in<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">plan from securing the ship in the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">dark to laying siege in the area,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">waiting for daylight hours.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As daylight approached, we<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">approached the ship to have a<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">clearer view. It was discovered<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">that it had already connected<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">hoses from the Wellhead to its deck and loading had<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">commenced. By this time, an<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">update also go to us that the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Nigerian Navy Forward Operating<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Base has sent out gunboats in the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">direction of the crime scene as<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">well. Their mission was to rescue<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the ship from the Tantita<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Operatives laying siege in the area<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">and securing it from being<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">boarded.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Not long after the information<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">about the Navy gunboats came in,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0at about 0700hrs local time, two<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Navy Gunboats and one speed<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">boat donated to the Nigerian<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Navy by the Ondo State<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">government four years ago,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">approached and started firing<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">warning shots. The Tantita Security<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Operatives had no choice but to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">abandon securing the crime scene and calling for backup from<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">their Oporoza Base.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Backup from Tantita\u2019s Oporza<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">base arrived on scene at about<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">mid afternoon. They couldn\u2019t<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">approach the vessel which was still<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">made fast to the Wellhead with its<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">loading hose. We presume that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">loading was still in progress as the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Nigerian Navy did all it could to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">protect the ship.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">We refused to leave the area<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">despite the Cat and Mouse chase<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">between the Tantita Operatives<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">and the Navy at sea. By evening<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">time, we got information that the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Navy had removed the Master of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the yet to be identified ship and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">one other crew member to their<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">base in Lagos, for reasons we<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">consider obvious.From our deductions, owing<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">to the short time span and lack of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">room given to the Crude Oil<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">thieves and the size of the hoses,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the ship hasn\u2019t loaded much<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">before its planned operation was<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">disrupted. Though we are unsure<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">as to how much she has taken<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">since we couldn\u2019t board the ship.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In the videos attached to this<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">report, you could clearly see the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Government Security forces<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">attached to Tantita Security<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Operatives complaining about<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">how they were fired upon by the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Nigerian Navy. A situation that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">continuously daunts us as we are Our attention is also focused<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">on the sponsor of the ill fated<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">voyage of this unidentified ship, by<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the name of Mr. IWATAN<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">BAMITALE. We have attached the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">charges filed against him and one<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. DEMEHIN ADESAYO. In addition,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u00a0find below photographs of some<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">of Mr. IWATAN BAMITALE\u2019s victims<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">whom are alive to tell their ordeal:Further intelligence reaching<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Tantita Security Services is that Mr.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">IWATAN BAMITALE, is apparently<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">connected and working with one<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">of the persons approaching the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">NNPC for Pipeline Security<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Contract.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">And also, Mr. IWATAN<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">BAMITALE \u00a0works with an expert<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">living in Benin, specialized in<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">tampering with Well Jackets for<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">illegal off-take by ships. We are<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">currently on his trail.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While Tantita Security Services<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">will continue to lay siege and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">monitor the situation as it unfolds in<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">addition as to the whereabouts of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the Well Jacket Engineer, with<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">updates, find below some of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">recommendations coming into<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">mind at the moment, that would<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">require urgent attention:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Nigerian Navy be<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">implored to allow us bring the unidentified ship in for further<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">investigation<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Navy should produce the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Crew taken off the unidentified<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">ship for questioning<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Nigerian Navy should<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">make sure that the stolen Crude<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Oil is not pumped out and the ship<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">cleaned up<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The activities of going on<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">inside of the Nigerian Navy\u2019s<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">FalconEye should be<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">investigated as the ship was<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">only a few kilometers off the coast<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">of Ondo State, well within view of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">the Nigerian Navy\u2019s FalconEye, but<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">they never reacted<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The connection and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">acclaimed transactions between<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Mr. IWATAN BAMITALE and the said Pipeline Surveillance Company<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">approaching NNPC for a contract<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">should be investigated<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The activities of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">employees of CAVENDISH<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">PETROLEUM NIGERIA LIMITED and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">CONSOLIDATED OIL should be<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">closely looked into and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">investigated as there has been<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">one too many Crude Oil theft from<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Jackets within this same vicinity<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">There should be an inquiry<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">into the shooting directed at<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Tantita Operatives and the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Government Security Forces<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">attached to them by the Nigerian<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Navy personnel on the gunboat<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">marked \u201cP491\u201d.Capt.
