A dad described as happy and easygoing is believed to have killed his wife and two daughters before hanging himself.<\/a><\/p>\n

Detectives<\/a> launched a murder probe after the bodies of mum Daksha Lad, 44, and girls Trisha, 19, and Nisha, 16, were discovered together at the family home.<\/p>\n

Father Jitendra, was found in a separate room.<\/p>\n

Neighbours, who had not seen the family for several days, raised the alarm at 8.30pm on Monday.<\/p>\n

Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson said investigators were not looking for anyone else over the deaths in Clayton, Bradford.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThis is clearly a \u00adsignificant incident and our \u00adinvestigation will be thorough as we piece together the events that led to the deaths of a local family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keen scuba diver Jitendra, 49, was a payments specialist at Bradford City Council. His wife of 23 years Daksha was a clerical worker for the same authority.<\/p>\n

The mum\u2019s poignant final \u00adFacebook post, written recently, read: \u201cWork hard and enjoy life. You only have the one chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trisha was in the second year of a biochemistry degree at Leeds University, while her sister was at Thornton Grammar School.<\/p>\n

One, Francesca Allison, 16, burst into tears as she described Nisha as \u201cbeautiful inside and out\u201d.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cShe was so sweet and nobody could ever say a bad word about her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local shop manager Niraj Patel, 49, told how he was a childhood friend of the father.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHe was a very happy, easygoing chap, always a smile on his face, they were a lovely family. I\u2019m totally shocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019d never believe that he\u2019d have an ounce of violence in him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just hope they died peacefully.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barry Hawkins, 62, who delivers newspapers in the area, said: \u201cI knew the dad. Last time I saw him would be Friday when I did the papers in the morning. And they looked fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

His daughter Susan Hawkins, 34, a support worker, added: \u201cThey were the nicest family in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is understood Jitendra was chairman of the Friends of Thornton Grammar School and took a keen interest in his daughters\u2019 education.<\/p>\n

Headteacher Chris Sampson said: \u201cWe are deeply shocked and saddened by these tragic deaths.\u201d Police said the family\u2019s bodies may have been at the house for \u201csome time\u201d. Postmortems are due to establish the cause of the deaths.<\/p>\n
