{"id":27163,"date":"2022-04-25T19:55:51","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T19:55:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=27163"},"modified":"2022-04-25T19:55:51","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T19:55:51","slug":"late-sir-othuke-lesso-family-at-war-over-rites-of-burial-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=27163","title":{"rendered":"Late Sir Othuke Lesso Family at War Over Rites of Burial Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=19271&amp;ad_type=81&amp;rl=1800\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The brothers and sisters of late Sir Othuke Lesso who died in January 2022 have filed an application before the Area Customary Court in Oleh seeking the court\u2019s orders to delay his burial pending compliance with custom and tradition.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a motion on notice with Othuke Lesso\u2019s widow Maudlyn Akpoghene Lesso and two of the children as Respondents, the siblings of the late Othuke are praying the court to restrain the Respondents from giving effect to the Invitation Card relating to the burial of their brother being circulated by the Respondent on the ground that they were not consulted by the Respondents before printing and circulating the card.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">In a 27 paragraphs affidavit in support of the application, the Applicants complain that while the family were still making arrangements for the burial, the widow and her children started circulating the invitation card containing details at variance with family and Isoko traditions without their consent.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">By the application which has been slated for argument in court on the 26th of April 2022, the Applicants pray the court to restrain the Respondents until \u201cthey have strictly complied with the customs and traditions of the Isoko people relating to burial rites.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The deceased Sir Oghalomeno Othuke Lesso was the first child of the late Anglican Revd.
