{"id":25566,"date":"2021-03-06T07:21:10","date_gmt":"2021-03-06T07:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=25566"},"modified":"2021-03-07T04:34:18","modified_gmt":"2021-03-07T04:34:18","slug":"chief-ageh-promises-open-door-policy-accountability-if-elected-lagos-idu-president","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/newsroom247.com.ng\/?p=25566","title":{"rendered":"Chief Ageh Promises Open Door Policy, Accountability if Elected Lagos IDU President"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/alternativeadvert.com\/show.php?z=30&amp;pl=19271&amp;ad_type=81&amp;rl=1800\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">The 1st vice president of the Isoko Development Union (IDU), Lagos branch, Chief Steve Ageh has promised to provide good governance and accountability, if elected Lagos IDU branch President\u00a0 on 21 March 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Steve Ageh disclosed this during an interactive session with some selected journalists recently at his office in Festac town in Amuwo Odofin local government area of Lagos State, where he formally declared his intention to contest for the position of the \u201cPRESIDENT\u201d of the Lagos IDU.<\/p>\n<p>He promised that if elected IDU Lagos president, he would provide good governance, accountability and operate an open door policy thereby creating a platform where every clan would have a sense of belonging.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Steve Ageh, a conflict resolution expert and a chartered accountant said it would be on record that, this is the first time, an aspirant contesting for the branch president is reaching out to the people through the media before election day.<\/p>\n<p>While soliciting for the cooperation of everyone, he urged the delegates coming to the meeting to vote for him on March 21, as he remains the most eligible candidate who has the \u201d Will\u201d to change the narratives from bad to good, pointing out that what the Lagos IDU need at the moment is quality leadership, which, he is ready to provide, stressing that, leadership is about \u201cSERVICE\u2019 to the people, saying, he is ready to serve the people diligently with humility.<\/p>\n<p>While still elucidating, he said, if elected, his administration will revive the membership drive by visiting some of the Clans that are owing to know what their challenges are and to resuscitate and revalidate the Union Bank account that is dormant and most importantly, the \u201cKETU\u201d project will be given prompt attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to say that, the IDU, Lagos branch need cohesion among the Clans to give light to the executive to function in the highest level of administration to create a sense of belonging to all Clans by creating a platform where every single view or opinion aired would be looked into without any discriminatory attitude from those in authority\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will ensure that my executive visit the debtors clans to find out what their challenges are and if there is any, we all will sit down and profer a solution without any further hesitation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Let me reiterate that, my intention to lead the branch is to provide good governance and accountability because leadership is all about service to the people and that I am ready to provide, if elected.
